Bio

uberLAB, Korean producer Leo Jun, broke onto the electronic scene in 2009 with the hugely popular track "Liquid_Solidus", which received regular airplay around the world.

Hailing from Seoul, Leo survived strict classical music training in Korea, US, and Italy before being drawn into the world of electronic music inspired by the works of Tangerine Dream, Vangelis, Depeche Mode and Suzanne Ciani.

Leo's first memory of writing electronic music was on his Atari ST using a tracker program called TCB Tracker, before eventually moving on to using analog equipment to expand his sonic realm. Possessing an uncanny instinct and hunger for creating unique music, Leo would spend countless days creating new sounds using self-made "instruments" from broken cassette players and VCRs. This active experimentation has ultimately shaped the way Leo produces music today.

Paying his dues and honing his writings skills, Leo has written for various film and dramas since his late teens and has collaborated with Korea’s finest musicians across many different genres.

After moving to Los Angeles in 2005, Leo decided to create a name and persona which could express the kind of music he was most passionate about, and the moniker "uberLAB" was born. After 3 years of writing and refining, Leo released his debut album "uberwunder" as uberLAB. Shortly after its release, the track "Liquid_Solidus" was featured on SiriusXM. Encouraged by regular airplay and listener feedback, Leo has been releasing albums ever since.

His upcoming album “Fatima Crisis” is a mindful fusion of retro and modern electronica.
