After a split
in 2008, Alejandro and Rodrigo (Both guitarists and original members), decided
to give a new try to the project, re-joining in a rehearsal room to dust-off
the songs included in UDK´s first two albums (“Hand that feeds”/2004 and “From
sacred to profane”/2008 – Both from Toxic records).
Chemistry was
intact, and it seemed that the last rehearsal wouldn’t have been seven years
ago, but the day before.
The process of
writing new songs didn’t took much time, so quickly many riffs surfaced to
their hands shaping two new singles: “Becoming hate” and “Purification”, songs
that introduced the band back on the road.
With new
members Claudio Leiva/Bass and Rodrigo Leiva/Drums, UDK keeps writing and
rehearsing more songs for their upcoming new/third album.
Focused on
this process, at the same time the band schedules live dates to play old and
new material, which one has been very acclaimed since 1996 to these days, almost
21 years where UDK also recorded two demos (“Self-titled”/1996 and “Wrong”/1997),
three singles (“Machines breeding”/1998 (Produced by the then Criminal
guitarist Rodrigo Contreras), “Bleed the earth”/1999 and “Dry”/2001). Also participated
in many compilations and played gigs all along the country including shows in
Argentina and Uruguay.
