Hello, I'd like to introduce you to Ugly Beauty, who has emerged as an energized incarnation of Sonic fire, with absolute dedication to artistry and explosive live performances. The boys have created excellent audio fuel. My friends, ignite your soul, learn all you can, love as often as possible, live well & be happy.

The band is fairly uncomplicated. If you mix a big & crunchy guitar with an urban feel, include the introspective lyrics of the 60's with a mix of uplifting melodies and harmonious instrumentation.... This invigorating fusion of sound that is explosive, edgy, ambitious, yet accessible, and entirely new, is the urbanrock sound of Ugly Beauty......
Vocalist, guitar player, songwriter ODin Phoenix and bass player Jay Thompson are no strangers to success; both are former members of Phoenix and Earthling. Rock groups that achieved airplay on hundreds of commercial and college radio stations across the country and in Europe, climbing as high as No. 5 on the CMJ charts. The band embraces its fan base and remains thankful for all love and support that comes their way....
Ugly Beauty is straightforward, back to the roots of basic rock-and-roll. UB's latest release "You Are Unique, Just Like Everybody Else"... steps up like "Faith of the Fallen" released in late 05. The disc displays first-rate musicianship that engages us from beginning to end. The searing guitar riffs, tight harmonic layering and driving rock beat gives listeners a cerebral and physical experience.....The boys are currently in studio doing the next disc. That will make your heart glad and pulse pound.

The future comes to gather in an embrace, the present and along with it we also move forward, all is well. We shall make serious effort to unearth the treasures that we seek and to see the treasure in what is before us. Basically we're interested in meeting new friends and learning about the world. Along with the desire to learn comes a propensity for contemplation, introspection, and observation of various types linear, abstract, and analogous etc. As we all know there are many types of thought. Knowledge, wisdom, insight, intuition, genius and information, all of these things though different and at the same time, part of knowing are not the sum of knowing. Not to mention who can deny the beauty of a deer dappled landscape on a sunny fall afternoon where the grass is still green but the trees are not. As the universe unfolds, we all have too much to learn to quibble, but should we educate and enlighten each other when possible, perhaps the world will be a better place. Hopefully as we gain friends, the realization that we should look out for each other will be obvious. Creation in an of itself is truly marvelous and a joy to behold. So we shall sing friends sing, for these things too shall pass, as mountains rise and valleys fall. So to shall light and dark roil, for within the chaos of the universe, beauty and Joy is ours to find and hold.....
