Ukulele Sanctuary

At a young age, Mr. Grimes formed and molded his first musical ensemble. It wasn’t long before he knew his natural talents in music that had been passed down generation after generation would be his career path in life. Having been inspired by many other artists, friends, and family, he began his musical projects in the small hometown of Charleston, West Virginia with the drums, piano and singing. He poured his talent, his heart, and his soul into creating and recording music that reached beyond the ear of the listener and entered into the mind, the soul, and the heart. After inheriting his father’s ukulele, he made the ukulele a primary instrument utilizing its unique sound in songwriting and performance.

As Mr. Grimes is a professional and well-respected musician, Ukulele Sanctuary, his solo/band ensemble, is currently performing their market area out and around the East Coast, currently from Ohio to Florida and up to Boston. Mr. Grimes performs solo with the ukulele and, as well, has a group behind him on several various occasions. He has also played special performances, such as the Wilmington Christmas Show in 2010, the Glenn Beck show, and many other special events and concerts. He has toured & performed all over the United States; contributing to the recordings of many artists, fairs, festivals, special events, plays, TV broadcasts, and many more.

Mr. Grimes was born and raised in Charleston, West Virginia and moved to Ohio with his wife Stephanie in 2001, and has lived in places such as New York City, California and various locations to support his market area of performance, and pouring his heart and soul into the creating of music, he knew he would somehow make a difference in the world.
