Bio
UL/KR duo consisting of Blazej Krol (guitar, vocals, sampler) and Maurycy Kiebzak-Gorski (synth, electonics).
In 2012 the band released their debut self-titled album that lasted only 22 minutes and was put out by a small independent label that soon was hailed as Record Of The Year by most of polish mainstrem media outlets and dubbed one of the most important debuts on polish scene in recent memory.
Slow, dark and muddy compositions, that take qeues from synth-pop and new romantic but also garage and witch-house come blended with vocals, sung by Blazej in his mother-tongue, that will make you shiver. This atmoshere is what makes UL/KR unmistakable just after one listen.
Already a cult favourite, the band released their sophomore effort Ament in April of 2013.
The initial CD pressing sold out 2 weeks prior to the offical release.
The band is constantly on the road due to increasing demand, inluding Polands biggest festivals. Their success history makes UL/KR truly an undergound phenomena.
