"ULTRAVIOLENCE BRINGS THE ROCK!!!"

Toronto band Ultraviolence just finished playing it's first ever show at the Rok Boutique (200 Bathurst, Toronto). Ripping through noteworthy originals "Take A Big Ol Swig" and demo opener, the GnR esque "Devils Little Girl" UV establishe themselves as a ferocious live act right away. They tore through Zeppellins black dog as well as ACDC's Money Honey with ease making the sell out crowd sweaty, voiceless and begging for more. For the next two hours UV replicated countless classics. From Motorhead to Elvis to Aerosmith to Chuck Berry it seemed these boys knew their genre quite well. The highlight came with the last two songs. Heartbreakers ACDC esque simplicity got the loudest reaction of the night while the timeless "Hey Little Mama" left not a single person staring anywhere else other than the stage. All in all if you want to taste rock n roll the way it should be go check out UV next live show, you won't be sorry...for long!!!

Here is a reminder when metal-heroes reigned supreme, heavy-riffs, and maximum energy that gives a whiff of debauchery and swagger. For those about to rock...we salute you. - Lonely Vagabond

Bio

ULTRAVIOLENCE is a four-piece “new classic rock n roll” band based out of Toronto, Canada. With influences like AC/DC, Guns N Roses, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Motley Crue, and the old school flavour of Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, and other blues legends, Ultraviolence is looking to bring their brand of “Filthy Dirty Rock n’ Roll” to the entire planet!

With their hugely successful first tour of Western Canada (21 shows in 24 days!) under their belt, and the hit single "Hey Lil’ Mama" rockin' the airways across the country, Ultraviolence has already made a huge impact on the Canadian music scene. To kick off 2010 and celebrate their first year of existence Ultraviolence toured Western Canada again from January 12th to February 7th playing an astonishing 23 shows in 26 days. Once more, UV has kept up its mind-boggling "100% of promoters asking for UV to come back asap" rate over two full tours. In May, UV will be releasing their first full-length collection of songs, including the heavily requested single "One More Drink." With two more Western Canada Tours already in the works and first time visits to Canada's east coast and the USA, 2010 sees UV spreadin' the rock n roll gospel all across North America. With their fan base quickly growing, Ultraviolence has nowhere to go but up! Don’t believe it? Like countless Ultraviolence fans have said: “You gotta’ see it live to believe it!!!”
