Ultrea

Ultrea is a female fronted rock band from Madison, WI. You can expect heavy guitar and drums mixed with melodic vocals and powerful screams. Member influences range anywhere from big brass bands to post hardcore metal. They try to make music that is dynamic and relatable, on multiple levels, to touch as many lives as possible. This can be heard on their recently released EP: Ultrea "Always Persevere" which was recorded, engineered, and mastered by the members.

Ultrea means always persevere. This is what they strive to do as a band and as individuals. The band formed in March of 2012. After the break up of Black with Envy, guitarist Greg and drummer Chris agreed to put together a new project. Chris brought in long time friends Jes on guitar and Jen on vocals. Greg asked long time friend and former band mate of Sledgehammer solution, Jason to play bass.

Their goal is to make music with a positive message. They strive to make their fans feel as they do when they write and perform. They have been compared to bands such as Lacuna Coil, Evanescence, and Skillet. They've opened for bands such as In This Moment, CAVO, and Two Dollar Grey in some of Southern Wisconsin’s biggest venues. They are currently writing new material and in the process of constructing their recording space. You can get current songs at all major online retailers.
