"....Amazing..."

This is an AMAZING duo!!!
-11/03/05 - Kristin Bell Murray- CKCU Radio Carelton University, Ottawa, Ontario

"Blues, Funk, At the Rainbow"

It's a tribute to both The Rainbow's legendary sound system and Uncertain Souls's soulful music that a two peice band could sound so rich and full in the upstairs blues club....All of Uncertain Soul's performances at the Murray St. bar draw a strong crowd...Mikki, formerly of Sonic Aria, holds court front and centre with her brooding, political vocals and bass. Faith Iman charms a shoulder-dropping beat out of each drum and cymbal like a snake from a basket....

Bio

It all started on the streets of Ottawa...
Faith- the beat keeper, was new to the city and would frequently leave her Carleton University residence to explore the town and search for bucket drummers, drumming circles, buskers, and everything music. With the drumsticks in her pocket, faith was drumming on the streets and in clubs... And that's when she met someone, who knew someone, that dated someone, that was once in this band with this crazy bass player.
Mikki- the soul-slapper, had recently moved back to Ottawa from Toronto - where she was fulfulling her dream to become a bitchified-rockstar. Before she could settle in, she was rockin' the streets for new talent. She club-hopped and bar-hopped... And that's when she met this bartender, who knew this student, who knew this blind man, who heard this drummer girl on the street.

The two pre-rock stars met in a dingy, mouldy, slightly creepy basement...to lay down the hippy-trippy sound that when bled out loud had no placement. The fusion left some delusion from intro to conclusions. Filled with allegory, no category but something - metphorically? Politically, though nothing controversially though...kinda...something sexy...Uncertain Soul!
