UNCHAIN stammen aus der Schweiz und spielen Hardrock, ganz in der Tradition ihrer Landsmänner Shakra, Krokus und (frühe) Gotthard, sowie den Übervätern AC/DC. Viele werden jetzt sagen „schon tausendmal gehört, immer wieder derselbe Sound", aber eines ist doch klar: wirklich Neues erwarten kann man im traditionellen Hardrock wohl kaum noch, Hauptsache es macht Spaß. Und dieser Faktor wird hier ganz groß geschrieben. Dementsprechend gehen Emi am Bass und ihre vier Jungs frisch und unbekümmert an ihre Songs ran, das ist schon bei den ersten beiden Titeln ‚Can Stay In Hell’ sowie ‚Secret Garden’, beide mit einem Mords-Groove gespickt, zu hören. Die setzen sich nämlich so sehr im Gehörgang fest, dass der dritte Song ‚Get It Live!’ - ein schneller Rocker, glatt ein bisschen untergeht. Mit ‚Sabrina’ und ‚Yesterday’, einem Blues-Song, wie ihn AC/DC in ihren frühen Tagen zelebriert haben, wird es etwas ruhiger angegangen, bevor bei den letzten vier Titeln (‚Steal My Baby’, ‚Gotta Leave Your Mama’, ‚Dark City’ und ‚Save Me’) noch mal so richtig Gas gegeben wird. Und auch bei diesen Songs gilt: Ohrwurmcharakter!! Handwerklich kann man UNCHAIN sowieso nichts vormachen und auch sonst ist das Debüt von Achim Köhler (Primal Fear, Sinner) absolut druckvoll produziert worden. Das wichtigste aber ist: diese CD macht einfach von der ersten bis zur letzten Minute Spaß, sozusagen das Rundum-Sorglos-Paket für jeden noch so beschissenen Tag. Kaufpflicht!!!

In the songs of the band from berne, switzerland, you hear the influences of a time, when hairspray wasnt the most important thing about a rockgroup.
The catchy guitarriffs, the pumping beat and the melodies are somehow wild, free, honest. The music is a force out of nature. Youll feel it.
On stage, the force of the group unchains. The slogan plug and play stands for the plugged guitars, that start a rock-firework. As a unity, the 5 members of the band rock the stage and a hurricane comes up. The joy of playing their music stands in their faces and you can feel the power of the group like a giant thunder.
Since years, the band plays on bigger stages and in smaller clubs to let their licks go out in the crowd and the crowed likes it. The formula is easy: the audience can see that UNCHAIN likes the stage, and the stage likes UNCHAIN. Every member of the group goes out of himself and rocks and this spark lights the audience.
Since spring 2007, UNCHAIN plays a new setlist with new songs. The first concert took place at the famous Mühle Hunziken in Rubigen. Shortly after that, the group has won a bandcontest at the Alpenrockhouse, Kloten.
Before they go to the studio in autumn 2008 to record the second album, UNCHAIN wants to play the new songs on stage and share the rock-plosion with the audience.
