"Victoria Newton's Bizarre Podcast"

"Plus two of Britain's brightest new indie bands came to my studio to play exclusive sessions - with UNION OF KNIVES and UNDERDOG showing off the tunes we have to look forward to in 2007." - The Sun

"Sunny Estate EP Review"

“As a band blasting out stadium sized epic rock, Underdog are a four piece who its hard to fault; performing songs that burst with massive vocal hooks and searing guitar noise.” - Mike Bond @ UK Music Search

"Sunny Estate EP Review"

“It seems the two opening tracks ‘Tell Me’ and ‘Watching and Waiting’ are the highlights, where Underdog are honing in on what they could be really good at.” - Lucia Hodgson @ Comfort Comes

"Sunny Estate EP Review"

"…This shows Underdog have the ability to write and perform beyond their years. If they continue along this route they will be a band with longevity.” - Susi Hamilton @ Screaming Tarts

"Sunny Estate EP Review"

“with it’s stripped down feel it lets the vocal take the limelight.” - Kev @ The Beat Surrender

"Sunny Estate EP Review"

"Nice and loud this. And that’s important. Reminds me of the emotive power of Puressence thanks to the crunch in the production, despite the tunes aren’t quite so dynamic. This EP showcases some very effective indie-rock that rises out of the mid-90’s, not Britpop though, more at the Strangelove end of the affair." - Skif @ Vanity Project

"Sunny Estate EP Review"

"'Sunny Estate EP' from Underdog is different enough to stand these guys apart from many of their contemporaries. The whole thing is well crafted with great attention to detail. A clever and absorbing release." - Peter Brown @ Toxic Pete

"Underdog Review"

“The boys from Underdog are from Maldon in Essex. Don't forget you heard them here first!” - BBC Essex

"Underdog Review"

“Underdog are an Essex based indie rock band, with influences ranging from U2 to Green Day. They have spiky guitar sound, strong vocals and some interesting tunes. Particularly notable is the opener “Tell Me”, with its straight ahead trebly guitar, mixed with some heartfelt vocals… …They manage to combine reflective lyrics with a classic underground indie feel that works well. Could be a band to watch…” - Rob Massey @ Sohostrut

"Sunny Estate EP Review"

“Coldplay with a bit more oomph or perhaps the libertines with more verve, whichever way you want to describe the band 'Underdog' quality will properly come into it…. Their EP displays their qualitys aptly, from the pop'ish 'Tell me' which is the first song with it's upbeat happy sound, to the second track 'Watching & Waiting' with it's modern guitar pop sound. The only question is can they continue to be prolific with their quality songwriting.” - Rock 3 Radio

Bio

With influences ranging from the Kings of Leon, Radiohead and U2, Underdog have been wooing audiences with their soaring basement rock, and are already building a loyal following.

In 2006, Underdog’s EP was an exciting start to the bands career. As a snippet of the bands potential, the EP also featured a remix by their talented myspace buddies ‘The Anomalies’. But, 2007 is set to be the busiest year yet for the band.

Starting with the release of their debut single ‘No Enemies’ the band are really excited about the release and airing their first video. Set in a desolate warehouse its essence categories the raw and down to earth nature of the band.
