With more than 100 bands on the bill the 4 day labor day weekend Rock The Bayou Festival in Houston, is expected to attract a large group of people who love rock and roll. And one of the groups taking the stage is an Angleton based band. Under The Green came from a small town south of Houston, Tx. Under The Green has been a band for 7 years starting in a small town by the name of Angleton. Under The Green comes from a wide variety of music such as: Killswitch Engage, Tool, Pantera, Bullet For My Valentine , Evans Blue, Chevelle, Breaking Benjamin and many others. Under The Green sounds different for being in the genre that they are in. Alternative rock and hard rock is a very big genre. What sets Under The Green apart is their diversity they all bring to each and every live show. They have made their way up to achieve such shows as playing with: Evans Blue, Eve 6, Twisted Sister, Bret Michaels, Hinder, Panick at the Disco, Nine Inch Nails and many others. Under The Green is very intense along with a solid core. They have 2 guitarist being: Brett Bergerson-Lead and Joey Lyons-Guitar . On Drums they have Brock Dumoit who came to Under The Green in 2003 replacing a former drummer. Next on deck, Steven Rubio. One of the remaining original members on bass. Last, P.J. Romero as the front man and lead vocalist. P.J. came to Under The Green via Florida. He was performing in Florida for a number of years, then he got a call from Steven Rubio and offered him a position as lead vocalist. He accepted and has been with Under The Green ever since. Under The Green came from being sick and tired of having nothing to cover all of the equipment with at the practice room. They found an abandoned putt-putt course and took a bunch of old astro turff to cover their equipment. Hints the name Under The Green.
