Frontrunners in the latest crop of North East rock bands, Under The Gun are recognised as a fine songwriting unit and an exceptional live band. Bringing a diverse and fresh blend of influences (from west coast soul to clubland) to their roots in classic rock. Tempered with a refreshing optimism and social awareness, their music is lyrically and sonically rich; classic in style, yet entirely contemporary in message and subject matter.

Having built a strong and loyal fanbase across the North East, Under The Gun are preparing to take their music to a wider audience across the UK. To coincide with the release of their eponymous début EP on Treadplate Records, the band will soon embark on a UK-wide co-headline tour with hard rock comrades (and Treadplate stable-mates) Minnikin.
Formed and fronted by singer/guitarist Nick Jennison, a respected musician who’s credits include work with SEGA/Sumo Digital and EMI Japan recording artist Bentley Jones, along with bassist Tom Willshare (formerly of indie hot tip The Blitz) and guitarist Jon Page, with their ferociously talented young drummer Dan Wakenshaw coming on board fairly recently.
