"Surface Unsigned"

UnderView - In my opinion, a person should have something to live by, something to die for and something to listen to. Underview definitely apply to the latter because within the first couple of bars the band capture the crowd’s imagination with drums to rival The Clash and riffs that have a quality unmatched. The lyrics and song style are the same brand of working class optimism that makes them a band you can not only listen to, but something you can relate to. So while you may choose to live or die, remember that you should probably listen to Underview while you’re doing it.

UnderView are an Unsigned Indie Rock band from Hemel Hempstead. We have been together since 2005. We started gaining experience by playing local venues and winning several local BOTB’s.One of prizes of which was to play at the turn on the Xmas lights in Watford in front 2000-3000 people. We then moved into London playing various well known venues and building up a larger fan base. This last year we have been very busy reaching the finals of Surface Unsigned we finished 7th out of 12,000 bands in the UK. We have played several Festivals but we played our first big Festival at Guilfest playing with Motorhead, The Charlatans, Athlete, Happy Mondays, Brian Wilson, Will Young and You Me At Six. We have also supported The Holloways. Along with festivals we have also been playing a wide range of good bigger London venues and venues around the UK which are all listed on our MySpace. We have also been doing some work with the BBC and played Live on BBC 3 Counties on their BBC Introducing show. We have been doing some charity work with Oxjam to raise some money for a good cause. Going into this year we have had a gig on tour with AA Records from the USA and we also had a gig at Relentless Garage and one lined up for the Barfly Camden. We also been asked back to play Guilfest this year as we can bring a few people with us! We have more gigs and Festivals in the pipeline but not confirmed at present but we don’t plan on giving up anytime soon!
