Stanley's musical carrer started in memphis. When he and his friend Alex Chilton started writing together. After the break up of Big Star Stanley and Alex ended up in NewOrleans, with the new band Undesirables. From 79 to 82 we were one of the regular bands at Tipatinas, durring that time slim played with many local legends like Proffesor Long Hair, Earl King, The Meters, Mac Rebenac & J. Booker. We opened for bands like the Misfits and R.E.M. During this time Stanley also worked with the Violent Femms. As Alex started doing his own thing Stanley started playing with Guitar Slim jr. at The Colt 38 on Basin st.While playing with slim, he got to jam with Fatts, B.B.king, Ernie K. Doe & Many others. In 1988 went to the grammys for Slims album, The story of my life. Stanley and his rythim section from the Undesirables were part of the band. Stanley started having seizers and retired in 1990. He's now Back with two CD's and a 75 song song book.Were back!!!!!
