Ascending to the summit of the music industry is never an easy task. However like cream, the best of the best always rises to the top. Indeed, that's the forecast for UNeSS, the North America's soulful new Montreal-based solo artist. A collection of quintessential soul,hip-rock, and love ballads, UNeSS is brimming with great, real life influenced stories. A classic example is the self-produced lead single "Sexy Wit' Attitude," an electric guitar driven classic. Its mid-tempo beat, vintage era sound and "Seductive" lyrics have a titillating effect. I've always known since I was 16 years old that I would be doing this." UNeSS was born and raised in Morocco until his parents moved to the suburbs of Montreal,Quebec when UNeSS was 16. It was at 15 that UNeSS got his first guitar from his father. After only two weeks UNeSS learned to play and gradually improved his newly acquired skills, using his instrument to its highest capacities. By age 16 he started to work on his craft of songwriting. "Growing up I listened to R&B stars Prince and Michael Jackson,but also was influenced by the likes of Brian Mcknight and Jamiroquai. I’m also into today's real R&B artists like India. Arie and Musiq Soulchild," says UNeSS. "Although I’m influenced by those guys, I’ve worked hard to develop my own sound, style and flavor.” "Sexy Wit Attitude,” will indeed put UNeSS on the fast track to unlimited success. Nevertheless, the hardworking, down-to-earth solo artist has no illusions about what lies ahead. Not exactly new to the game, he promises to stay focused on the bigger picture. "I’ve seen too many artists have it all one day and lose it all the next," UNeSS wisely points out. "Since I’m in this for the long run," UNeSS states, "I’m making sure that my business and creative aspects are properly taken care of. The bottom line is, I'd hate to look back years from now and know I threw it all away because I didn't handle my business." All in all, UNeSS's music clearly states what UNeSS strives for, real music for real listeners.
