Today’s music industry is littered with dance music duos that are trying to leave a mark on the dance floors and radio airwaves with mediocre beats and copy-cat rhythms that are easily forgettable. Not since the early days of the Pet Shop Boys and Captain & Tennille has there been a pop duo that can capture the magic of dance music in one complete package.
UngerRose is dance music’s new hidden treasure. Currently residing in the beaches of sunny Miami, Florida, UngerRose has teamed up to create a feast of beats that is sure to ignite the dance floors of the world.
Ed Unger and Jen Rose united to satiate their mutual love of dance music. As UngerRose, they are known for their positive music that feeds the spirit and fuels the body for dancing. They write, record, produce, and engineer their entire catalog then remix and perform their music live.
Ed Unger started his musical endeavors playing guitar. He played in local bands trying to make ends meet. It wasn’t until his first drum machines that he discovered his skills as a producer and engineer. After relocating to Atlanta, Georgia, Ed decided to create the first independent training school for music production and engineering www.bluesoundstudios.com along with a partner site www.gotchanoddin.com to satisfy his lust for sound design and artwork in the form of wav files.
During a songwriting workshop in Atlanta, fate introduced him to Jen Rose who was majoring in Opera at Florida State University. Jen moved to Atlanta to learn more about the music industry and to study the art of R&B and songwriting. She linked up with the Outkast crew and did a cut that landed on Chamillionaire’s album with her opera vocal melodies.
UngerRose’s sound has been compared to Madonna’s Confessions on a dance floor with the moodiness of Nine Inch Nails industrial flavor. This married duo of 2 years is currently writing and producing an onslaught of new music for themselves as well as remixing for artists like Sarah McLachlan, DJ Rap, Moby, Paul Schwartz, Conjure One, Nine Inch Nails, and more. UngerRose is currently in the studio working on their first album release that promises to inspire listeners from coast to coast.
