UNIQ

Well UNIQ is my artist name and its describe the type artist I am as well. I feel being UNIQ is being yourself. An in a world of complexity and everyone trying to be an individual. Its hard to find your own since of individuality,but I learned that knowing who you are as a person is being an individual. I have been singing since I was a little boy. I remember my mom, my sister, my brothers, and I would all be in the car picking parts to sing when certain songs would come on. I just love to listen to different voices and hearing them just made me want to sing my heart out. It was funny because I grew up as a shy skinny mixed kid. I am mixed with black, Mexican and Japanese. Love being mixed and would not want to be anything different. Well being shy I would never talk to people when they came around but when my favorite song came on. They would say is that the same kid wow he can sing. In away singing brought me out of my shell and helped me grow in life. Growing up people always use to say you sound like a girl because I had a high pitch voice. Once I learned how to evolve an use this incredible gift that GOD gave me they would just say you sound good. What people told me never stopped me. It just made me want to try harder and show them what I can do. Once I excepted my sound. I made it stronger. I can hit it high and take you down smooth. I am a first tenor that was trained at Antelope Valley College to sing Classical Music. I have been to New York and sang in history at Carnegie Hall with ensemble of wonderful choirs around the world. I went Utah and sang with my choir at the Mormon Tabernacle. All though I am not a Mormon it was still an incredible experience. I got to sing at 2002 Staples Center Lakers event with Big Boi from power 106 as the host. I went on in 2008 and sang background with a local rock singer Brad Alden it was the most amazing experience with great talented musicians. I love to sing all kinds of music. Also in 2008 I was a waiter in a FX series called " The Riches". I love being in front of people and in front of the camera. I have been working my acting skills and trained 2 years with Diane Christensen for "On Camera Scene technique". I appeared in 2007 in Barnum and Bailey Musical Circus held by Antelope Valley College. One of the coolest experience because we got to learn circus tricks like juggling. Plus we got to use a real circus tent with circus bleachers a real circus like atmosphere. Heading back to 2008 I had a chance to be in another music called "Ragtime" at the Palmdale Playhouse. We had a real chill hard working cast and we rock the playhouse down. In 2009till now i started to really get down more with my singing career. I started preforming at clubs. I performed at Club Aura in Studio City, a bar Mizzakas in Lancaster, Weber's in Reseda, and at "First Fridays". First Fridays is a scene where these guys put it on every first of the month and different talents come together to express their talents. I have started modeling as well and just got signed to GLO WORLDWIDE for my modeling. This year 2012 is a whole new year and I'm coming out with my 1st EP album called "GO HOME".I have done a music video on YouTube now called "GO HOME". I have a whole new attitude and I'm moving towards no fear and no regrets. I getting ready to succeed and achieve my dreams. I decided to go hard and when I decide to go hard. That means I'm coming and nothing is going to stop me. So look out for your boy UNIQ
