I have come from 20 years in the NZ music industry, gigging with original and cover bands alike, playing mostly pub gigs but i've played at almost everything from weddings to festivals, birthdays to corporate roadshows... It's been a long road to where i am today, and to finally be comfortable enough to perform a repertoire of my songs, by myself...
Not only have i been influenced and inspired by all the musicians i have spent time with and gigged with, but i was especially moved by the grunge movement back in the late 80s early 90s... Although this isn't reflected in my music (ok there maybe a hint of grungyness in some of them) i respected a lot of the themes that grunge portrayed... Having said that, i guess what i got from that is Honesty and that is what i think sets me apart. Basically i just love to sing and you'll find me doing it just about anywhere i can...
