"Guitar Wars Round 2"

Unlimited was the winner of the evening. These guys described themselves as an extreme metal band. They were heavy, and they were definitely extreme, but they were less one dimensional than last weeks “Our Lady of Bloodshed.” There was something in the music of Unlimited that made them much more accessible to the uninitiated – more melodies & varied grooves. Unlimited were very tight, great energetic stage presence. My only criticism musically would be to tighten up the arrangement of some of the music – some songs seemed a little long. Remember the cardinal rule of show business – Leave the Audience Wanting More…

These guys had a very Children Of Bodom feel with more melodic elements. The harmonies and musicianship were fantastic. While they gathered the crowd to the stage, one thing they needed was more audience participation and more announcements regarding upcoming events and band happenings.

- Shorten the intro; the music was interesting but a tad too long.
- Interact more with your fans. Make more announcements regarding all of your current happenings (other shows, contests, promotions) Euphonic Sound’s Studio 2.0 assists artists with all aspects of brand management, promotion strategy and fan interaction.
- The guitars were hard to be heard during most of the set due to the keyboard. Focus more on the heavy driving guitar sound than the keyboard. - Euphonic Sound Studios

Bio

In a scene filled with thousands of breakdowns, synth lines, and guitar riffs all attempting to be different, standing out and making a name for yourself has become increasingly difficult.

Cue Unlimited.

In an already storied beginning that included playing stages with the likes of Woe, Is Me, Abandon All Ships, Structures, Silverstein, and Counterparts, as well as a small UK tour, 2012 was the busiest year for Unlimited to date; as they shot a music video, played multiple festivals, dozens of shows, shared a stage with the likes of We Came As Romans, and recorded a brand new EP titled Game Changer which was released and praised by both fans and critics alike.

With patterns and breakdowns that don't follow normal conventions, sweeping solos that many will only wish they could play and vocals that can both lift you up and throw you right back down, Unlimited has turned themselves into a force to be reckoned with in the metal scene.

Heading into 2013, the band already has multiple tours booked, as well as a return to sharing a stage with Abandon All Ships in February. If you haven't heard about Unlimited before, chances are you're going to this year.
