Bio

In 1982, Mike Cry a.k.a. Wax (guitar) and Pat Goudette a.k.a. Pat God (bass) formed the band UNRULED, They recruited Cory Lowe (vocals) and Jean Ruthemann (drums).

UNRULED played their first real gig at the Montréal Spectrum as an opening act for Dead Kennedys and D.O.A. A month later, they opened for Charged G.B.H. and M.D.C.

Jean left the band in 1983. Louis Levesque quickly filled his place.

UNRULED played many of their early shows in B.B.C. (Bleury Beach Club), which, in the 80’s, was best place in the 80’s for Montréal’s hardcore scene.

On November 1983, UNRULED shared the stage with Discharged. Due to expiring visas, Discharge had to leave the country by midnight, leaving UNRULED as the headlining band.

UNRULED went into the studio and released Their EP “Time is Running Out”.

During 1984 and 1985, UNRULED played several shows in Montréal including at the Cargo.

1985 saw UNRULED retire.

Due to fans demands, Wax and Pat God with Chany (vocals) and Sam (drums) from Inepsy played once more on December 31, 2008. They played only old UNRULED songs and the response from the audience was amazing.

In early 2009, UNRULED reformed with this line-up playing several shows.

In 2010, UNRULED released a full length LP/CD “Butchers of Warfare” which was well received by the media and fans alike.
