Bio
We are all professing Christians and serve Christ all through our daily lives, but feel that we can serve Him best through music. We are Unshifting Shadows because we strive to be like Him who does not cast a shifting shadow. – James 1:17
We are a band who' main goal is to connect with the crowd and get them to leave with God on their mind. We want to focus everything we do towards God rather than ourselves.
Jacob Beck -
Jacob is a Computer Science major at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. He also has a music minor which he is using to further the music of Unshifting Shadows. Jacob plans to graduate UNK in the Spring of 2013, at which time he plans to attend Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas, TX. He enjoys playing guitar and singing and is the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of the band.
Eric Jones -
Eric is a Music Business major from Holdrege, NE. He has two more semesters of study at the University of Nebraska at Kearney and then plans to intern with Lifelight, a non-profit organization that puts on music festivals, tours, and many other activities, all in the name of Jesus Christ. Other than drumming, Eric enjoys painting and reading C.S. Lewis. Eric is the drummer of the band.
Mark Liljehorn -
Mark is the worship leader at the First Baptist Church in Kearney, NE. He has been playing in groups throughout the Nebraska area since the mid-1990's such as: Neutron Bone, Playing in Traffic, ShyAway, Listening Example #9, and Lead Me Home. He is an active, in demand session musician in the Nebraska area and has performed in places ranging from small venues to Carnegie Hall. Mark is married with two kids and a third on the way. He is the bass guitarist of the band (and we are very lucky to have him!).
