Biography

This South Florida 5-piece has an interesting blend of hardcore and pop-punk, combined with a unique screamo influence. Yet their songs are graced with lyrics that inspire the soul and reward the spirit.

U S H first began back in 2002, and has since kept a strong focus on their musicianship, showmanship, and their own vision of achieving recognition in today's music industry.

Their focus has helped them acquire much success in the South Florida music scene and they have very strong ambitions of making their presence known in other markets as well. Towards that end, it's safe to say that you won't find a harder working, more genuinely refreshing and original rock band than Unwanted Superheroes.

U S H has recently achieved 30,000+ page views at purevolume and is also closing in on 60,000+ plays on this ubiquitous site for today's up and coming musicians. Check their MySpace account and learn why these guys are so loved... They are truly and genuinely appreciative of every friend and fan, and go out of their way to make their shows well worth the effort to see and enjoy.

Since their initial CD release in 2004, U S H has begun to enjoy moderate success, sharing the stage with numerous national acts such as; Emery, Coheed & Cambria, Thursday, A Static Lullaby, Madison, Silverstein, Hawthorne Heights, AlexisonFire, The Beautiful Mistake, Anatomy of a Ghost, The AKAs, Burns Out Bright, Tokyo Rose, Rory, Track Record, All Rights Reserved, A Static Lullaby, Hopesfall, Rock Kills Kid, Codeseven, and Somehow Hollow.

They currently enjoy their status as hometown band at many of the more popular rock venues in the Ft. Lauderdale area, and continue to augment their already solid fan base by playing some of the better known venues in other areas of the Southeast as well.

The band is currently touring and writing new songs for inclusion in their second CD whose title and release are yet to be determined at this time.

Look for a full CD release in the first qtr of 2006...

Lyrics

Goodnight Moon

Written By: Unwanted Superheroes

Follow me into this deadly skyline
Because tonight the stars don’t want to
Hear your cries
We could break through, if your heart would only try
But baby, you’re eyes don’t even
Seem to shine

Goodnight moon
I have shed too much skin
Goodnight moon
Let the blood pour from within me

Fall into my arms
And catch me if you can
I will turn away
I’ll never look back
No, I’ll never look back

I will wait for days to see if your lips move
I remember when you pressed them
Upon mine
I could break through, if my heart would let me try
Cut along the dotted lines
My story ends…

Goodnight moon
I have shed too much skin
Goodnight moon
Let the blood spill from within me

Fall into my arms
And catch me if you can
I will turn away
I’ll never look back
No, I’ll never look back

Tonight, I’ll walk down to your house
And I’ll burn this to the ground

Goodnight moon
I have shed too much blood
Goodnight moon
Why do you mean so much to me?

Fall into my arms
And catch me if you can
I will turn away
I’ll never look back
No, I can’t look back tonight

Press your poison lips
Upon mine girl
And stab me in the back
With your tongue

I'll scream my heart out
To show you how I feel
I'll swallow my pain down
Just to make it go away

Is it over now?
Your trust in me has all run out
Will you be alright? Will I be alright?
Is it over now?
Your honesty has all run out
Is is alright? That's alright

Show me how to break a heart
Because you do it so well
Did you even care?

You make me scream my lungs out
To show you how I feel
I'll swallow my pride down
But the tears won't go away

Is it over now?
Your trust in me has all run out
Will you be alright? Will I be alright?
Is it over now?
Your honesty has all run out
Is is alright? That's alright

Light a fire inside your heart
And stay near it just to keep warm
I've always been a sucker for your smile
I'll burn for you tonight
Just to keep you warm

Is it over now?
Your trust in me has all run out
Will you be alright? Will I be alright?
Is it over now?
Your honesty has all run out
Is is alright? That's alright

Unwanted Superheroes

When bells are ringing all night
All I know is that it's your voice
I can see you in my doorway
And you're crawling through the void

I've been thinking too much
And I feel like I'm pushing through
But I'm sitting all alone in here
So why do I still feel you?

And your face is buried
With all your worries
In your trembling hands
And cold water is running
Keep your heart from feeling
Want to love but never can

But you
Were my true love
And you
Put yourself up above
I'd die for you
Take a bullet for you
And I'd lie to you
Because that's all you ever do

The crying feeds the silence
As the morning comes into the view
And were standing in front of the gates
But you don't want me walking through

And your eyes are burning
With the fire of hate
But you tell me that you're fine
You think that you
Know me well
I think you're crossing that line

But you
Were my true love
And you
Put yourself up above
I'd die for you
Take a bullet for you
And I'd lie to you
Because that's all you ever do
To me

Unwanted Superheroes 2005

Inhale
It's the only way you'll ever know that we're alive
Next to broken backs and tired hands
Sipping down words like nothing matters anymore
If for a second you can tell me that I'm something else
Then let me know
And lift me up
Because I need warmer nights more than ever before
I am all breaths and heartbeats
And I will make you part of this page
And I will make you whole again
I hope that you can hear me say
"We're not going anywhere"
Exhale
Let me know that you want me
Just as bad as I have wanted you
"Here's to a boy who can't keep his head on straight
When he's around you"
So we called our bluffs and made mistakes
And now we have one last chance to take it
Or maybe fake it
Or maybe break it
This time I'll keep my eyelids closed
Because I love the way that she asks for more
But I know I've heard that voice before
With a pretty little scream that sounds like your's
A pretty little scream that sounds so pure
We both forget what it's like
To spill our guts when the time is right
I've got the feeling that you've got something
Building up inside of you
That you are too scared to let go of
If that's the case, just let me know
So I gave up
And I gave in
I can't help thinking
The way I do
And I will make you part of this page
And I will make you whole again
I hope that you can hear me say
"We're not going anywhere."
