Upon The Minute

Here it goes, my story, my reason why!

To start out, I began as a trumpet player in the school band back in grade school. I played for about one year and decided that it wasn't the music I was looking for.

I decided that the percussion section looked pretty cool and I could see myself as a drummer in a band so I got a drum set. I started taking lessons for about a year and yet again quit.

What instrument suits me the most? Well I asked my grandpa for a guitar for christmas. Not just any cheap guitar, a Washburn. Something I could keep around for a while.

After I got my guitar I started taking lessons and realized that I had fallen in love... With music. This is the point in time where I started looking at music as a new way of life, not just a hobby. Where everything was based around my guitar playing. It was a beautiful sound and there is endless possibilities.

I have now been playing guitar for 4 years and have had a music background of 8. I'm only 16 so that is half of my life. I started singing along with my guitar 3 years ago and I have currently written around 50 songs over the time. These songs usually just take up desk space but I have about 4 or 5 songs that I never let go.

I am influenced by several acoustic players such as ron pope, plain white t's, lifehouse, 3 doors down, jason mraz, etc. in their unplugged songs.

I really, really, want to get my music out in the open for everyone to hear or even possibly see. I want to either sell my lyrics to a band who could make a hit off of them or sell my songs and hope for the best.
