Uppercut

The Uppercut band have been delivering their inimitable style of U.K roots reggae since the summer of 08 and have spent the past two years rocking festivals and clubs throughout Europe and the U.K, sharing stage with performers such as, Alborosie, The Skatalites, Earl 16, Macka B and Fantan Mojah.
They have honed their live performance playing to audiences in Slovakia, Norway, Switzerland, France, Spain and the U.K and deliver a message of justice, equal rights and Rasta consciousness.

With a unique combination of talented musicians they produce a rootsy stew of bright and breezy horns, wailing guitars, melodic keys and a dark and heavy drum and bass, giving a soundscape reminiscent of times gone by but wholly relevant to the here and now.

The dynamic of the band is such that the front man position is kept open enabling them to interchange vocalists, in essence they are a session band but can be seen performing regularly with an array of reggae artists with differing styles such as Solo Banton, Deadly Hunta, Prince Livijah, Lioness Fonts, Afrikan Simba, Erroll Bellot and Chieftain Joseph.
Whilst always looking to add to this list of collaborators in the shape of vocalists and artists with like minded sympathies and vision, their appetite for a varied musical experience keeps them readily available for studio and live sessions and performances.
