Upstairs

Upstairs was founded in late 1998 and have been building a strong connection with fans and critics alike ever since. Marcus Smith and Michael Prichard had performed in Orlando area bands for years but it wasn’t until they met Osvali and Medwin Croes (and later Kevin Wilsey in mid-2000) that things began to fall into place. “We’ve never known what to expect from each other, never set out to do things a particular way, and have somehow managed to see everything turn out much better then we’ve ever planned” explains Osvali on the rising success of the group. Recent accolades include being selected as one of five finalists (3000+ contestants) in the 2002 Pantene Pro-Voice contest, hosted by MuchMusic where they got to open up for Michelle Branch in Central Park, NYC. This concert was later aired in the Fall of 2002 nationwide on the MuchMusic channel. They’ve seen their songs charted internationally (3 hit singles in Aruba alone), placed in regular rotation on Clear Channel’s WTKS 1041, and to date have sold over 1500 CD’s. With a dynamic live show, well-crafted songs, and undeniable chemistry, Upstairs will definitely be a group to watch in the upcoming year.
