UrbanRockBand is an American Hip Hop group founded by Sdaerd (pronounced Sa‐dear'd) and "Lucky" Logan P. McCoy. “Lucky” is the group’s main producer and arranger sharing song writing and rapping responsibilities with Sdaerd, also the groups main vocalist.
"Lucky" and Sdaerd are the only official members of the group. Even though they enlist the aid of other performers during the recording process, they are solely responsible for the group’s direction. UrbanRockBand’s music straddles a wide range of genres yet retains a very unique and characteristic hip-hop sound using electronic equipment and computers. "Lucky” and Sdaerd assemble a live band to perform with them, and rework songs to better fit the live format.
Truly talented and very hard working, “Lucky” and Sdaerd are two underground New York rappers who since 1999 have peddled on the streets of New York over fifty thousand cumulative copies of all fourteen of their own homemade recordings. Their latest project, making it number fifteen, is a far departure in style and sound from what they’ve done in the past.
Aptly titled Hip Hop 3.0, “Lucky” and Sdaerd’s debut, as UrbanRockBand is an honest hope inspiring narrative of personal transformation through growth and maturity. Their bold musical experimentation coupled with emotive and thought-provoking lyrics put UrbanRockBand and Hip Hop 3.0 at the forefront of the Adult Contemporary Hip Hop movement.
