Usage Panel’s debut EP is a battle cry: We don’t care what’s in vogue this season. We will rock out with our balls thumbtacked to the wall, thank you very much. The eponymous set comprises five hook-heavy tracks performed by some of LA's best young musicians. After visits to the free clinic were undertaken, bail was posted, and rehearsal time was booked, Grammy-winning co-producer Jim Watts (Emmylou Harris) was brought along for the adventure. Under Watts’ stern watch, a delicate balance between rock-and-roll virtuosity and borderline criminality was struck. The result is the Usage Panel EP, now available for free download at usagepanelmusic.com.
