Used For Comparison

Used For Comparison

Formed in 1995 when Charles Boehmig and Ian McMahon were high school freshman, Used For Comparison is approaching 20 years of making music. Martin Adam joined the band on drums in 2001, and the trio - influenced by the Beatles, Radiohead, TMBG, and others - have just completed their third album.

Used For Comparison is a three-piece alternative rock band from Atlanta, GA. The band's guitar and piano based original songs draw from such varied influences as the Beatles, Radiohead, They Might Be Giants, Ben Folds, Spoon, Pink Floyd, and others.

The band consists of Charles Boehmig (guitar, piano), Ian McMahon (bass), and Martin Adam (drums). All three of the band members contribute to vocals and are also multi-instrumentalists. In addition to strong original material, Used For Comparison also plays covers ranging from the classic British rock of the sixties to the alternative and indie sounds of the 90's and 00's.

The band has just completed their third full length album "The Great Divide", which will soon be available on CD and - thanks to a highly successful Kickstarter campaign - on vinyl.
