"Of all the music I have stumbled upon in the last 5 or 6 years, I have one clear favorite--Utah Slim. Songs grounded deep in the canyon lands of South Central Utah, his reverence for the land comes through in every song. The lyrics read like chapters from a finely crafted novel. There is a clarity in both his voice and message that I find arresting. Like a good novel I can't put down, this one never ventures far from my CD player. Beautiful and important music and every song, a jewel.

Utah Slim sings about the beauty and wonder of our Colorado Plateau, the folks who live there and the struggle for its future. He sings about justice and love too. His drop-D picking and musical ability add style and depth to his songs. On Water Wheel tracks 1, 3, 5, 7, 8 & 10 are recorded live - just Slim and his guitar.
He covers Chuck Pyle, Chris Smither, Ian Tyson & Johnny Cash.
