Bio
U-TUrn is a London, ON based rock band formed in 2007. We are all students at Beal SS in London. Playing whatever inspires us including songs from Rush, GNR, April Wine, The Who, Led Zeppelin and a bunch of other classic rock icons along with our own brand of rock.
Second place finish in Norma Jeans 2010 “Last Band Standing” competition that saw us knock out a bunch of quality performers. We opened for April Wine (Canadian Music Hall of Fame inductees) in November 2010. U-turn cut it’s first “pro” recordings at EMAC Studios last year and will be working to record more of our original tracks in 2011.
Perform regularly at Norma Jean's in London, have opened for bands like The Joys, the Mudmen, Shelly Rastin, See Spot Run and other local and national acts. We also play the London Music Club and have been main stage performers at London's Rib-fest in Victoria Park for the last few years. U-turn has played many other London and area festivals such as London Downtown and White Oaks Canada Day and Car free events in 2010 and 2011.
We get fantastic feedback and accolades from fans young and old as well as other bands. That keeps us wanting more. We are professional, courteous and are skilled musicians and performers.
