Bio

Uzi was born and raised in Rehovot, Israel. From a very young age he found himself interested in music, when he first touched a guitar, people say there was pure magic in the air (People keep saying that till this very day). When the family immigrated to the US he found himself attracted more and more to country and blues music.
Nowadays, Uzi lives in Jaffa and in the Tour bus, as a member of several leading bands in Tel-Aviv, performing all over the country and over the world, spreading damn good music with charm, generosity and humor.
Uzi was a member of Boom Pam, a Balkan-rock band, signed to Essay Recordings in Frankfurt and has toured the world extensively, playing in Europe, U.S.A, Canada, Mexico and Africa in clubs and festivals.
While in Boom Pam, Uzi formed The Ramirez Brothers with 2 friends. A trumpet-guitar-drums trio playing funk and blues. With one album and an E.P. they gained recognition and acclaim in Israel's indie scene, performing all over the country and have toured Europe several times.
Uzi is working as well as a recording studio guitarist, composer for all kinds of musical genres, with influences ranging from rock (hendrix-beatles-dylan), blues (elizabeth cotten-robert johnson-skip james), funk (tony joe white-meters), jazz and classical music.

To back up the album, Uzi has formed a new band with two of Israel's most in demand musicians, Shacham Ohana on bass and Tal Tamari on drums to form the classic rock trio format. Each show brings new interpretations to the songs, often sliding into long explosive psychedelic-blues rock jams.
