"Ballads for Beauties and Beasts Review"

Void ,a three piece outfit hailing from South Wales can best be described as and indie take on hard rock. There are elements of the likes of Coldplay and the Manic Street Preachers, with a touch of Harem Scarem thrown in. Well I say Harem Scarem, in reality Void have more in common with vocalist Harry Hess' solo album Just Another Day at times. Void's songs deliver an instant reward and at times seem very familiar even though you may never have heard them before. For instance Faceless comes across as a blend of Joan Jett's I Love Rock 'N Roll crossed with Neil Young's Rocking In The Free World, no bad thing.
Several other tracks here also exhibit what could be called environmentally friendly songwriting, that is recycling riffs and melodies that possibly have been heard before but, when this is coupled to the excellent production and decent vocals, it makes the whole album instantly listenable. Despite the heard it all before factor Void, with the slightly unique sound if not songs, have crafted an album with potentially huge appeal, jangly enough for the indie crowd and rocky enough for the MHR crowd. It'ss an album that is tailor made for both radio and for the live environment. If Void get the breaks expect them to do big things. .. - Hardrockhouse.com

"Rock of Ages"

A new name on the Welsh music map is “V0iD”, a three piece outfit from Llanelli near Swansea who I first heard a short while back thanks to a hugely entertaining interview and a few choice cuts on TotalRock’s “Doom & Co.” show.

Delivering unashamed stadium rock, as a Welsh indie-rock band they’re always going to draw comparison to the “Manic Street Preachers” and “Stereophonics” of course and there is a resemblance to both, but what drew me to them was more the blend of “Bon Jovi” style anthemic delivery, a touch of “Guns ‘n’ Roses” on occasion too and a fair bit of “Oasis” to boot. Throw occasional similarities to “R.E.M.” and “U2? into the mix as well while we’re at it. All good ingredients for appealing to the masses of course but a big plus for me personally though was the song “Something/Nothing” which took me back to the early days of “Little Angels”… a band I’d be surprised they’d heard of let alone been influenced by!

Don’t be put off by the “stadium rock” tag. The band certainly aren’t. One comment that stuck in my mind in the Totalrock piece was them asking “What’s wrong with selling out Wembley Stadium exactly?” And don’t be put off by the albums title either as a set of maudlin balladry this certainly isn’t. “Beaten & Bruised” is as defiant an anthem as an opener you could wish for. “Faceless” proves a cracking upbeat rocker with a thumping beat that lights the way to the albums mid-point, where you’ll find the tour-de-force of “Said And Done“; a fine song with a staccato rhythm that you can’t help but think must be a highlight of their live set too.

The absence of dominating keyboards on most songs enables the band to maintain a raw, refreshing, guitar dominated sound. There is an argument that its not all that original but what the hell, the elements are their to appeal to both mainstream and indie-rock fan alike. Indeed you’d expect something like “Anytime At All“, a superb song with a hypnotic set of verses and a huge chorus to sound as at home on rock oriented radio as it would on Radio 1. When it gets to the ballads too, be it the impressive enough “Angel Eyes” or the superbly accomplished closer “Behind The Smile“, they’re more likely to leave scars than a sickly after-taste. Neither cross the line into the generic “desperate for a hit” territory that ballads so often slip into.

If there is one main criticism from me it would be a marked lack of decent length guitar solos. It’s a personal preference of course but on a number of occasions you just wish guitarist Wayne Doyle would be given license to close his eyes, imagine a hundred thousand faces watching and produce a solo that takes a song to epic proportions. His tone on “Faceless” is similar to David Gilmore, on “Angel Eyes” to Noel Gallagher, but on both occasions its curtailed far too soon and that proved more than a little frustrating to a fan of both!

It’s such a strong set of songs though that perhaps the only real concern is that they’ve set a bloody high benchmark for themselves. That’s not a problem until album two of course, and by then, potentially, they could be seen as one of the best new rock bands to emerge from South Wales for many years.

"Room 13 - V0iD - single Turn Away Review"

Upon the release of Void's single 'Turn Away,' these new indie rockers are about to take make headway in becoming acknowledged as a band that have talent and are not afraid to show it off. From an excellent introductory bass beat, a very strong riff implants itself within one's body and turns a normal young person into a moving maniac. This track continues upon this method of incapacitating a listener with its sturdy, mellow and symphonious vocals. The vocals are made that more intense and seductive as they shadow some eminent musical abilities from forceful guitars to some a little more placid. The upbeat ending to what can otherwise be known as one heck of a track, rounds this single off perfectly. I must admit it has been a while since a single has been able to get my feet tapping and my lips trying to utter away with the lyrical chorus content. AMAZING!

"Ballads for Beauties and Beasts Review - Fuse Magazine - 2008"

V0iD are a young Indie-rock act from Swansea who have enjoyed the input of Manic St Preachers/George Michael producers as they look to set the world ablaze with their debut album.

This collection of dizzying, grand scale staduim indie marks out a band ready to take up the rock n roll challenge
Their gigs are populated in equal measure by zealous teenagers, wide-eyed girls and die hard hairy rockers. ’Ballads for Beauties and Beasts’ is therefore an apt title for a record as far as V0iD are concerned.

The album features the recent single ’Turn Away’ which has burned ears via many a radio station recently. Essentially V0iD do massive songs in the mould of fellow welshers Stereophonics, or the Manics at their most uplifting with a Feeder-esque ear for an anthem.
Polished, top quality heritage rock with an engaging indie charm

"Room 13 Review of 'Ballads for Beauties and Beasts'"

Album Review - Ballads for Beauties and Beasts

Young indie rockers Void have created their debut album 'Ballads For Beauties And Beasts' in what sounds like hidden respect to a variety of artists. Many of the tracks send images flowing through my mind like a waterfall of a variety of artists, due to the similarity in rhythm, vocals aspects and pure beats.

First up there is the 'I Love Rock N Roll' sway of Britney on 'Faceless', the remembrance feeling of REM's 'Everybody Hurts' on 'Anything At All' which sent shivers down my body as the beautiful vocals took hold, 'Angel's Eyes' gets a little Bon Jovi sounding while 'Wake Me' has a Guns N Roses style vocals and beat. With this in mind, the music presented with 'Ballads For Beauties And Beasts' appeals to large audience spectrum. Through pounding beats that will have you mesmerised in seconds to the simple and effective flow of instruments like the integral keys of 'Behind My Smile…' acoustic guitar of 'Angel's Eyes', and vital bass of 'Turn Away'. The pace also differs from electric riffs of 'Anything At All' to darker sounds of 'Wake Me'. The atmospheric mystery that surrounds 'Faceless' is defiantly noteworthy.Vocals on this album differ at times. On 'Beaten & Bruised' they are much softer than anticipated, they are slightly edgier on 'Something/Nothing' and very emotional on 'Angel's Eyes'. The vocals can be quite tense at times, especially on 'Amber' as the vocalist sings about getting hurt • "You hurt me" he sings with real emotion being felt by the listener. The harmonies that are carried on this album are very good, and work very well in sync with each other. It is because of these striking vocals that the lyrics become pulsating. "Behind that smile there's a lonely child" is just one example from 'Behind My Smile…'This album may not sound completely original, but it is the familiarity and association that makes it more enjoyable. As a debut, it may need some originality to stand out from others and something that will add a little spice, but it is an attractive and well-produced release.

"Zer0 Review - Kerrang!"

SOUNDING LIKE a long lost relic from the much-maligned ’80s AOR scene, Welsh quartet V0id aren’t going to win prizes for being cutting edge. But in their own minds at least, they’re already playing to a worldwide audience of sold-out stadiums, who sing along to every word with lighters aloft. It’s an endearing approach, big on driving power chords, piano balladry, impassioned vocals and sweeping, synthesized strings. It might not be cool, it might not even be considered clever, but Zer0 is undeniably heartfelt and respectful in its reimagination of classic sounds and carried of with due class and aplomb. Recommended for those who love larger than life rock.

"Zer0 review - Classic Rock Magazine"

Young Brits V0iD have an unpretentious approach to melodic hard rock. On Zer0 (Raven Black) the style is modern – you can see them onstage with Bullet For My Valentine or 69 Eyes – but their real coup is in writing the sort of songs that Def Leppard wouldn’t have thought too shabby in 1983. It’s almost Therapy? at the Cheap Trick crossroads selling their soul to Muse and Jeff Lynne.

California’s Burning could be a career-changer for them, while Today is a slow, smouldering future classic.

"Zer0 review -Guitar Techniques"

If rock power ballads are your preferred listening then this is definitely the album for you. V0iD formed in 2001 in Llanelli and have gradually been working the circuit with their own brand of self-penned heavy rock. Zer0 is their latest single and also the name of this follow-up to Ballads For Beauties and Beasts, their highly acclaimed debut album.

The trio consists of Wayne Doyle on vocals and guitar, gareth Craft on bass and drummer Gary Doyle. Wayne also writes all of the songs and there are plenty of good moments here, opening with All ‘Cause Of You and culminating in the anthemic Badge Of Honour. They have been described as a ‘rockier version of Coldplay’ but Wayne admits to listening to AC/DC for inspiration and we noticed a touch of Bon Jovi in the mix as well. Yet the band definitely has its own credentials and seems determind to show what it can do during a nationwide tour in the summer. Check ’em out!

"Zer0 review - Rocksound Magazine"

There are few things more narcissistic than opening your new album with a sample of Total Rock DJ Malcolm Dome telling the world how good your band is, but then rock ‘n’ roll has always been a fairly delicate balance of talent and ego. It may only be their second album but V0id are clearly adopting the confident swagger that should accompany the old school, classic rock riffs they seem to shrug out quite effortlessly throughout the course of ‘Zer0′. There’s even a power ballad, ‘Wide Awake’, and, godammit, if things just don’t get more Guns N’ Roses than that…

"Zer0 Review - Altsounds.com"

V0iD’s Zer0. This album caught me completely by surprise. Do not confuse this band with the early 1980’s punk band Void. If you do, you may be disappointed, even though I love that band too. This is V0id spelled with a ‘zero’. They come from Wales and Zer0 is their second album that just came out in June of this year. V0id is a mixture of hard rock a la Bon Jovi and Buck Cherry, mixed with the dark pop of Sugar, the fragility of Roky Erikson and the harmonies of The Beatles. Believe it or not, I love this band, and I have grown strangely addicted to them.

First of all, I’m not a huge fan of Buck Cherry or Bon Jovi. But there is something about the way that this band brings out the glory of early Bon Jovi and the modern sleaze driven hard rock of Buck Cherry combined with other influences that really gets me going. You can tell from the riffs and vocals that these guys are playing hard core, libido driven rock and roll. But wait, there is something deeper. What about all of those depressive, deep, dark, dissonant guitar chords? And those beautiful, dark, Beatles harmonies in the background? What about the driving, rich, dark power pop/punk guitar riffs combined with lyrics and melodies that would make Bob Mould of Sugar proud?

V0id’s Zer0 is a walking paradox. Is it mindless radio rock or searing dark pop? Lets take a closer look. The first song ‘All Cause of You’ is completely addictive, full of hooks and riffs that make you want to drive too fast. The second track ‘Plastic Survivor’ reminds me the most of Sugar. Very dark pop, with an ominous bass line. The dark pop/hard rock fusion continues throughout. ‘She Loves Me Not’ refuses to get out of my head. The Beatles influence creeps in on ‘Time will Tell’ and ‘Wide Awake.’ ‘Zer0′ is an amazing, instantly radio ready track. The vocals and harmonies make me think of Bon Jovi in their glory days. ‘Today’ reminds me of Roky Erikson at his most lost while ‘Blow Your Mind’ is another instantly classic hard rocker.

The charm of this album is how V0id combines their conventional hard rock sound with such deep, dark, sounding pop. The slower songs such as ‘Wide Awake’ really bring these qualities out. Zer0 is nearly perfect and every song has been rolling around in my head for days. They have such a smooth, rich, shiny, retro vibe that ties everything together. It’s a very glossy, deep sound that bleeds in perfectly with the straight ahead rock riffs.

I never thought I would have liked this album but I became addicted. I looked at V0id as a guilty pleasure at first. But you know what? I don’t care now. I really like this band, and I don’t care what anyone else may think. Just give them a listen. They should be on the radio all over the place. V0id are one of those rare bands that are made to be listened to while driving fast with the windows down… or in the privacy of your own room when you’re feeling down. Pick Zer0 up now. It will not disappoint.

"Zer0 Review - Powerplay Magazine"

Hailing from the UK, V0iD are back with their second full length release, and they present a fine mix of melodic rock on the vein of Kick, early Von Groove, latter day Foreigner and maybe a taste of AC/DC and Bon Jovi. They’re best described as a classic rock act with a contemporary sound.

The album’s first four tracks. “All Cause of you”, “Plastic Survivor”, “She Loves me not”, and “Time Will Tell”, somewhat typify the band’s presentation: classy hard rock that’s filled with the requisite hooks and choruses that stick like gum. And the title track is by far the best on offer here. It sounds like a Bon Jovi and Cheap Tirck combo.

“Blow Your Mind” is exquisite too with a choppy riff that resembles the new Foreigner ditty, “Can’t Slow Down”. It’s a shame, though, that the whole of “Zer0” doesn’t stay with this winning formula. “Wide Awake”, “Reflections” and “Today” fall short of the band’s capabilities.

The reflective, softer pieces are a bit flat while the up tempo compositions are right on the money. Their next release should solidify them as potential tier-one contenders

"Zer0 Review - Get Ready to Rock"

Another fine quality release from Raven Black Music, V0id are about to release second album ‘Zer0′. The album was produced by Tim Hamill, who has previously worked with the likes of Lemmy, Girlschool and the late great Ronnie James Dio – and he has done a good job of switching between the bands softer side and their all out rock sound. Singer and band songwriter Wayne Doyle’s vocals remind me of Buckcherry’s Josh Todd on some of those heavier songs.

Highlights include opening track ‘All Coz of You’, ‘Time Will Tell’, title track ‘Zer0′ and ‘Today’. The album’s big sounding slower numbers ‘Wide Awake’, ‘We’re Going Down’ and ‘Badge of Honour’ show off a level of song writing that this Welsh band should be proud of, whilst the AC/DC sounding ‘Blow Your Mind’ should just be played loud!!

V0id have played a handful of European festival dates and also appeared at Texas’ SXSW event, they will also be touring the UK later in the year in support of ‘Zer0′. ****

"Zer0 review - Room Thirteen.com"

For those of you that had the pleasure of hearing ‘Ballads for Beauties and Beasts’, the first album by V0iD back in 2008, you will overjoyed by the prospect of a second even better album. Since the release of this debut, the South Wales rock band, specifically singer / writer Wayne Doyle has been busy developing the perfect sound for and it has been found!

‘Zer0′ is the name of the new album and is a delightful combination of heavy rolling guitar hooks, riffs to make your head rock and enough sentiment to make it that much more memorable and moving to listen to. The first couple of tracks opens purely on desirable guitars rhythms, but as the tunes continue you begin to notice there is MUCH more to these four fellas than their ability to pin a decent guitar hook. ‘Zer0′ is the first single to be taken from the album and is about a near death experience where Wayne woke up in hospital dazed and confused. Although it is a catchy tune, it is not the most dazzling song to be released for a first single, but still grasps the guitars and melodies well.

Other favourites include, ‘She Loves Me Not’, which will get your arm muscles aching to be moved from side to side; ‘Time Will Tell’, which delves deeper into the emotional side of things, wrapping a listener in a comforting blanket. ‘California’s Burning’ is beautiful in all aspects; the piano and guitars compliment each other incredibly, the vocals are strong while the lyrics so catchy you’ll be singing them for days. ‘Wide Awake’ opens with the beautiful piano melody then as it builds the tension, everything kicks in guitars and strings make for a stunning power ballad. Also, listen out for a touch of inspiration of AC/DC on ‘Blow Your Mind’.

As well as the abundant amount of catchy choruses, precious melodies and epic tunes, another feature the album has, has to be the immensely strong and endearing vocals of lead singer Wayne. They are lined with a subtle slickness that you can’t help but slide into. ‘Zer0′ is the most stunning follow up album and should not to be missed.

"Zer0 Review - Allgigs.co.uk"

I heard big things about V0iD before I got my ears around their album Zer0, so they had a lot to live up to. A dozen songs, written by Wayne Doyle, later – and the answer is “why aye – boys done real good.”

All Cause of You is rhythmic riffy catchy rock music, melody with attitude, crunchy chordy guitars, booming bass and thumping drums – top-drawer antecedents might be Rainbow, The Babys and G ‘n’ R.

On Plastic Saviour (Obama), the guitars, tempered with keyboards, create a dramatic, intense wall of sound, and She Loves Me Not, radio friendly, is just one example of the album’s choppy, dancey tunes that are done justice by great vocals and mature, well-judged sound, and a cool example of how loud don’t have to be aggressive.

Time Will Tell is a slow-burning, brooding, metal ballad that patiently builds to a stratospheric anthem – I can already see that swaying forest of held-aloft mobile phones. The Beatley piano-led love song Wide Awake breaks into a full on, accessible power ballad, and the album as a whole, deserving of appreciation by a wide audience – is pretty damned great.

"Keep Fighting Review - Fireworks Magazine"

V0iD (with a zero!) a four-piece band from- as they describe it themselves – “ deepest darkest Wales”. Featuring Wayne Doyle on guitar/vocals, Gary Doyle drums, Andrew Kowalik guitar and Wayne Esmonde bass, this band came like a bolt out of the blue to me because I hadn’t heard of them before. However reading comments by many well respected Rock journalists about just how good their two previous albums were, I can’t deny I couldn’t work out why that was?
thankfully however I’ve caught up and now their brand new album ‘Keep Fighting’ spinning away in the death deck and I’m happy to report that the music of V0id makes me smile as I listen to it. ‘…Fighting’ is a superb mix of the band’s own style of Melodic Rock, The Manic Street Preachers, Stereophonics (male it’s a Welsh thing?) and Rubber, which makes this album a real listening pleasure.

The songs on this release are loosely based around the challenges that life throws at you, hence the album’s title and when you play this album and turn up the volume, the exuberance and fire V0id have poured into their songs and performances, sets the feet a tapping and the head nodding as you listen to it.

‘Not The One’ is all jangly guitars and bouncy riffs that hit hard, the fantastic title track has some superb heartfelt lyrics that make you stop and think whereas ‘Forever’s Yesterday’ is a driven Rock song that has a big hook and some nice guitar work. Alternatively, ‘Where Have You been’ is a slower number with strong emotional vocals and a jarring riff that stays with you long after the song has finished playing whilst Say My Name’ has an almost Punk feel, wth its caustic guitar riffs and attacking vocals.

To say that I was blown away by this album, due to its impressive songs, performances and production, would be an understatement. Everything about it just hit the spot for me and ‘Keep Fighting’ is a perfect introduction to the world of V0id and their music. Do yourselves a favour and check this excellent band out, you’ll be glad you did. - Fireworks Magazine

"Keep Fighting Review - ChesyRock Reviews"

Following their previous albums Ballads For Beauties And Beasts and Zer0, Welsh classic rock band V0iD are back with their third album ‘Keep Fighting’. Produced by Tim Hammill, who has worked with Lemmy, GirlSchool and Ronnie James Dio, the album is released this summer alongside a string of live dates throughout the UK and Europe.

Based on its title as a theme; third album ‘Keep Fighting’ sees the band work though personnel changes, and gain inspiration from various stories of human endurance: A close friend of the band who battled against leukaemia for ten years whilst raising over 25k for charity, a fan in Holland who suffered a brain tumour, taking strength from V0iD’s music whilst in recovery, and their own drummer Gary Doyle, who had major knee surgery followed by a long period of rehab and physiotherapy, not knowing whether he’d be able to drum again.

I’ve not heard any of their previous output, but, straight out of the blocks ‘Keep Fighting has this’ marching drum vibe, and I must admit that its not normally my cup of tea, but the V0id lads seem to have a knack of drawing you in, such is the quality of the hooks coupled with instantly hummable choruses.

To be fair V0id have the corking ‘Let Me In’ as the lead single, but the fact is, most of these songs on offer could be picked as future nuggets. From the soaring ‘In The End’, the powerful balled ‘Forever Girl’ to the anthemic ‘For The Soul’, and haunting melody of ‘Starting Again’. ‘How Come’ to a point sounds very much like Tyketto. The gem for me is the first single (of many) ‘Let Me In’. It reminds me of a very unknown (?) rock band from the 80s called Diving For Pearls. Unless you’re a DFP band member or a lover of Klassik 80s AOR then you’ll never get the reference. All I can tell you is that its high praise indeed!

V0id are more pop-rock than out and out rock, but I think its firmly set in the musical realm of FM friendly music that lots of people can enjoy, and not just bitter old rockers with a narrow mind to anything other than metal. V)is seem like they are a guilty pleasure, but not to me. Ill stick my head above the parapet, V0id are a new fave band and definitely underrated, and very talented indeed.

As I said previously, I’d not heard their previous 2 albums, but I’ll be putting that right immediately. V0id are going places, and its only one direction, up!

"Keep Fighting Review - Powerplay Magazine"

I’ve had trouble with this review because V0iD are a good band, but there is something intangible that I don’t really like. It could be there trebly vocals, the largely meandering lyrics, the name, or their image, but I can’t pinpoint it. What I do know is the the band has big hooks, which largely override any of my minor criticisms. There is a good sense of dynamics as well, with the marching drum beat introduction to the opener ‘Keep Fighting’, but it is the choruses that stand out and I’d direct you to ‘Forever Girl’, ‘Where Have You Been’, ‘Say My Name’ ‘Practice Run’ and ‘For The Soul’. I’ve given it a seven as I can’t ignore my niggle, but want to acknowledge that some people would be marking this as a nine. In terms of influences, I can hear Night Ranger, Tyketto and Magnum, although the last two would be with different vocalists. Sample the album on all of the usual websites, but be aware that the second letter in their name is a zero.

These Welsh rockers sent rock tongues a-clacking with their first couple of albums, Ballads For Beauties and Beasts and Zer0, and they’ve followed up that promise with Keep Fighting, which sees the band in full-on classic rock mode, all baying guitars and belt-’em-out choruses. But they also know how to write decent tunes, too – never hiding behind bluster – which is perfectly evidenced by piano ballad Practice Run, which closes the album on a contemplative note. - The Crack Magazine

"Keep Fighting Review - Shoutitoutloud.com"

V0iD have released their 3rd album ‘Keep Fighting’!
The rock band from Wales released their new album ‘Keep Fighting’ in May via Raven Black Records. This is the follow up album to their previous release ‘Ballads For Beauties And Beasts’ and ‘Zer0’.

The bands new album ‘Keeping Fighting’ was produced by Tim Hamill, who has worked with the likes of Lemmy, GirlSchool and Ronnie James Dio.

‘Keeping Fighting’ used its title as a theme for the album and it sees the band work through personnel changes, and gain inspiration from various stories of human endurance. A close friend of the band who battled against leukemia for ten year, whist raising 25k for charity, a fan in Holland who suffered a brain tumor, who took strength from V0iD’s music while recovering and the bands own drummer, Gary Doyle, who had major knee surgery followed by a long period of rehab and physiotherapy, not knowing whether he’s be able to drum again.

‘Keep Fighting’ features 14 stunning tracks from the band. It’s is modern rock with a classic rock twist, meaning this is a record that has a little bit for everyone.

With dynamic and fast paced guitar riffs, an overall solid sound and the addition of powerful and on point vocals (I mean this guy can really sing!) it makes for a record you won’t want to stop listing too.

This is also a record with soaring chorus, so you better get your voices in check, because you are going to be singing along.

V0iD are a band with a lot of talent backing them both musically but also in their song writing ability, with heart felt songs. ‘Keep Fighting’ is a strong album and its one you need to get a hold of right now! You’re really missing out on something great if you don’t!

If you’re not aware of this Welsh quarter, picture some cruising-down-the-motorway, wind-in-your-hair rock. At times during Keeping Fighting, their third album, you might even think you’re listening to some unheard Bon Jovi tracks. Leading with the heavy, arena-sized title track, later highlights – In The End, Starting Again, Practise Run – indicate a few life lessons have been learned since the last release. This album is V0id’s way of declaring they’re still here, still standing and still playing.

How was it for me: I’m pretty sure that Josh Homme (Queens Of The Stone Age) would love the stoner rock intro and Jon Bon Jovi would love the anthemic melodic swagger of the big chorus. QOTSA and Bon Jovi in one and the same song? Absolutely, just listen.

‘Let Me In’ is basically an overwhelming melancholic melody built up with hard rockin’ riffs (QOTSA) and refined pop bombast (Bon Jovi). My upper neighbour knows exactly what I mean. I’m not a daily classic/hard rock listener or obsessed fan of the genre but when I hear a thunderous killer pearl as splendid as this one I don’t care about the musical label (I actually never do). After a couple of spins I just started to scream along and played air guitar for the first time in a long while. Rock & Roll Euphoria!
