Vaguely Specific

Formed in 2008 when MC Peter Powers, and Bassist James Corbin started bouncing around the ideal of starting a band. After months of talking about getting a band going the pair approached keyboardist Lannan Nusbaum, and at the time Drummer Juan Irachett about getting a band together. After playing a few shows it became apparent that a guitar was very much needed weapon in the line up. The group asked current Drummer Pete Montez to join, after a week or so of prayer. He was down. Juan moved over to the guitar.

The meaning of the name Vaguely Specific is ode to the parables of Christ. He spoke them in way that was veiled but very pointed at the same time. Hip hop is similar. VS’ Lyrical content at times can be raw and gritty , while other times it can be a complex allegory to show a simple truth
