"Cool Stuff- Impressive"

"Northeast In-Tune Magazine Vol 2 No 6"

Music Reviewer Aubrey Rocheleau:

"The songs on Chords and Chaos are very mainstream sounding with a polish that is tailor-made for radio play, which it received on New York stations WEQX, WQBK, WHRL. Her songs have also been added to the CRUMBS.net play list and ENGAGE Radio’s Feminine Groove Playlist." - June 2006

"Venomentality's 'Heart and Dagger' a Sparkling Album"

By David Malachowski, Reviewer
01/04/2008

Young Albany rockers Venomentality have a sparkling CD, "Heart and Dagger," produced by Conehead Buddha's Chris Fisher.

The quartet is comprised of singer Valerie Webb, guitarist Peter Kansas, bass player Kristin Hoeg and drummer Ben Zeigler. The baby-faced foursome hits the ground running with the pounding "Behind Black Eyeliner," featuring catchy guitar lines, intriguing harmonies and a driving rhythm section which push this and 11 more tracks through the roof.

From the in-your-face "Cinderella" to the anxious "Can't Stand You," Venomentality hits hard. The lyrical guitar work, especially in "Falling" by Kansas, is quite impressive, and they close with the haunting "The Beginning of the End."

Venomentality has a sound, stance and aggressiveness to take them far. Do not miss them.

Best High-School Band (Advanced Placement)

Venomentality

Venomentality’s 15-year-old singer-songwriter Valerie Webb is on the fast track to making a career out of music before her senior year. The band released their debut CD, Heart and Dagger, last fall; they’re currently shopping demos in search of a label contract. And wise-beyond-her-years Webb recently scored a publishing deal with New York-based company Mamapublooza. Kids these days . . .

"Chords & Chaos" CD Review
Editor Greg Haymes

Valerie Webb, who goes by the mono-moniker of Valerie, has been writing and performing her original music for almost two years now, and she's celebrating the release of her debut CD, "Chords & Chaos," with a performance at 7 tonight at Professor Java's Coffee Sanctuary in Colonie. It's a smart, sharp collection of seven pop'n'rock tunes that display considerable range and talent. Produced by former Conehead Buddha bandleader Chris Fisher, the disc also features guitarist Brian Kaplan (of The Brian Kaplan Band), bassist Steven Clyde (of Rumdummies) and Kevin Webb (of Brothers of Intention). Oh yeah, did I mention that Valerie is only 12 years old? Verrrry impressive.

Now Playing on CRUMBS Radio - http://radio.CRUMBS.net

Program #46 - June 25, 2006

Venomentality is the four-piece power pop band fronted by teenage
songwriter Valerie Webb. With production by Chris Fisher (Conehead
Buddha), the band's new singles show a growing maturity in their
performance. With their youthful talent and energy, and with the help
of their more experienced friends, this little band may just have what
it takes to make a big splash. - Andy Gallo

Signed to her first publishing contract at age 15, and accepted on scholarship at age 16 to the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, songwriter Valerie Webb could never have anticipated where music would take her. What started as a solo acoustic recording project (Chords & Chaos ©2005) for then 12 year old Valerie, quickly snowballed into a full band electric juggernaut.

Valerie formed Venomentality in January 2005 and since then has consistently played shows in the north eastern US, including high profile events such as the Virgin Megastore Mashup, the Union Square NYU Back to School Blow Out, Albany's annual Larkfest Hometown Stage, and The Greenfield Rock Festival in MA, to name a few.

Valerie is known as a “chameleon performer,” able to morph into whatever the event or venue calls for. She can play full band electric outdoor festivals and then scale it all down to an intimate acoustic coffee house show.

Valerie’s first full length CD with Venomentality, entitled “Heart And Dagger” was released in Dec 2007, and won a consignment deal with Union Square Virgin Megastore. Her songs can be heard on many radio stations and on line streaming programs spanning the US, Canada and Europe!
