Valeze

Valeze

BandRockPop

"Valeze plays up the dirty rock & roll card pretty well, with sass mouth vocals and the sweat stains to match." — Buzzgrinder.com Fans of the Killers, Bravery, Sounds, No Doubt, Missing Persons will enjoy!

Biography

Rocking the dirtiest clubs on the East Coast... Crawling the avenues of New York City when the lights go down... Stalking future fans in naughty chat rooms on the web... Ruthlessly leaving their mark on as many objects - and people - as possible, you’ll find VALEZE everywhere from the breast of your local bartender to the lonely lamppost on your street corner.

Respected for their DIY attitude and hard work, Valeze self-released their EP “Go Go Go!” produced by Nic Hard (Bravery, Aberdeen City, The Church) last December and their “Go Go Go” video has had well over 100,000 views online. They’ve performed on Fox TV’s Fearless Music, the prestigious GBH party at Hiro Ballroom, independently toured the Northeast, West Coast, and Canada; shared the stage with bands like the Samples, American Minor, Diamond Nights, and the Redwalls; and have been sponsored by Eventide, Sam Ash, Garnier Fructis, and Amp Energy/Mountain Dew.

June brings some exciting events with a live performance on Good Day NY and an editorial feature in Zoo Magazine’s June music issue. For the summer, the band is primarily focusing on writing and pre-production for their next record and having way too much fun!

Questions you love to ask:
Who are the band members and what’s the background?
Lead singer/songwriter Tiffany Randol, guitarist Alan Brent, bassist Joe Hung, keyboardist Tim Grace, and Miles Kennedy on the drums. It took a three and a half years of recording, touring and auditioning to arrive at the current lineup and the band has now been a unit for two and a half years.

Where’s the name come from?
Valeze comes from “Valise” en français and represents the word: Baggage.

Who are our influences?
They are wide spread, but a few favorites are Missing Persons, Pretenders, Blondie, the Clash, the Sex Pistols, Guns n Roses, Led Zeppelin and 50’s pop across the board.

What is this Circus thing?
Go to www.circustheparty.com — it’s an underground party Tiff created a while back to get into some trouble (NYC was asking for it;). Basically, Circus combines a variety of artists and music with a sexy, wild and chaotic little scene. It’s down n dirty fun. Go go go.

Lyrics

Go Go Go

Written By: Tiffany Randol

Driving through the country with no money
Your love is all I got
The skies are blue, we have nothing to do
But roll from town to town
Turn the radio on, not a single song
Static is all I get

Ooh I hum this tune , I know I know I know Oh we gotta

Go Go Go Still Gotta Ways to Go
No No No Nothings on the radio, you
Show show show, show me how to let go, let go, oh oh oh oh

On the side of the road theres a cul de sac.
You turn the wheel and step on the brakes.
The window fogs up, I take off my top
Its over before it begins.
You turn the key and apologize to me..
I say I love you no matter what

But in my head were through oh I know I know I know oh I gotta

Go Go Go Still Gotta Ways to Go
No No No Nothings on the radio, you
Show show show, show me how to let go, let go, oh oh oh oh

And if I go, will you follow me, follow me?
It doesnt matter where we end up - you and I

Go Go Go Still Gotta Ways to Go
No No No Nothings on the radio, you
Show show show, show me how to let go, let go, oh oh oh oh

Liar

Written By: Tiffany Randol

I heard you cry wolf and heard the lie. I fell for it for a moment...
You're no different from the rest of them, you got what you came for.
Use me, suck me dry and leave me here to die!
You dog, you filthy lover take a number - you're all the same.
You're a sly one - I know by now when you put your guise on
You're a Liar.

Call me sweetheart - your world is so warped.
I'm young and so sweet, you're old and your talk is cheap.
and Just like a man you can't stand to be shot down by anyone but yourself!
You've got your pride to attend to - well fuck you I've got mine!
You dog, you filthy lover take a number - you're all the same.
You're a sly one - I know by now when you put your guise on
You're a Liar.
You're a Liar.

Set List

Typically we prefer a 30-60 minute set. Most of the songs we play are original and we throw in a fun cover here and there. The live show is high energy, entertaining, danceable rock, we put a lot into costumes and the stage show.

However, we also do a great acoustic set and depending on the event we can include covers and play up to 3 sets... We can cover anything, just send us your requests - from jazz to pop to rock. We love to play 70's and 80's rock, new wave, punk, as well as Motown and 50's/60's pop. Here are some of our favorites:
The Cult, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Buddy Holly, Elvis, Prince, Pretenders, Berlin, Missing Persons, Cars, Iggy Pop, Blondie, Ramones, Rolling Stones, Zeppelin, GNR, Duran Duran etc
