"Probably the most impressive male vocalist I've seen in Columbus for a while. The band was really doing some challenging things musically and they did it like a well-oiled machine. "

Bio

Valhalla was originally formed in the year 2000 among high school friends. An Ohio working class band, Valhalla has an original music sound that hits home with music fans of many different genres. The eclectic range of styles, mirrors the personality of the band, and becomes more evident the longer you listen to their intriguing sets.

Characterized by the raspy and reliable vocals of Keven Curran, their sound takes listeners on a sonic journey of timeless modern and melodic rock that is both contagious and heartfelt. Since its inception, Valhalla continually experiments with new sounds and styles.

Valhalla draws its musical influence from nearly any band with a classical, everlasting feel. RHCP, CCR, Led Zeppelin, Pearl Jam, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Violent Femmes, and The Clash are a few examples. The likes of Mozart and Beethoven even play their role in influencing the members of Valhalla. These influences and Valhalla’s creativity in writing, help set Valhalla apart from the crowd with their originals. Putting extensive thought and detail into each song, using style-blends to transition smoothly from song-to-song and the influences of every member make each song a collaborative effort. The results are catchy, melodic originals that people enjoy listening to.

While writing is a passion for the members of Valhalla, their live show is the cornerstone of Valhalla's existence. Using their energy and excitement to keep the audience upbeat and drawn to them, Valhalla has exciting and charismatic performances that are sure to leave people talking.

The individual members of Valhalla bring extensive music and stage experience to the band. From recording, mixing and producing their own music, to playing for 2,000 fans after an LA Galaxy game, playing clubs on LA's sunset strip, playing more than 150 shows/concerts, and even playing for 20,000+ at a Dallas Stars game. This individual experience helps ensure the professionalism, energy, and style that Valhalla will bring to every one of their shows.

Mark Fischer, a Community Festival Entertainment Committee member (i.e Comfest) says, "Probably the most impressive male vocalist I've seen in Columbus for a while. The band was really doing some challenging things musically and they did it like a well-oiled machine." Valhalla is a fresh new sound and eyes are always on the future with this band, and every new song seems to be the best yet…
