As Val Payne was yet in her mother's womb, the prophet spoke of the wonderful work with which she would be tasked. Born February 25, 1971, Val is the youngest of two daughters born to parents, James and Yvenia. After the death of her father in 1976, Val's mom was left to raise her daughters alone. Her mom, a devout Christian, afforded every opportunity for Val to become the servant of God she is today. Reared in the Baptist church, Val has worked throughout the southeast as a musician, choir director and minister of music since the age of seven. Val is a lover of music, all kind. She has been influenced by many artists of many genres. She has teamed with co-producer, Deidrick Smith, to take her music to another level in order to minister to those outside of the traditional arena. Her latest release, Rhythm and Gospel, is best described by it's title. The work combines the best of Rhythm and Gospel.
