It's impossible to separate the man from his music.
The birth of Valter Lobo's musical project coincides with the moment of awareness on how the world is and how the values and feelings make human race move forward.
Valter Lobo is not yet 30 years old and lives in a valley region in the North of Portugal. A lawyer of lost causes. A living-room musician. Disillusioned with many things and deluded with many more. When there is so much to say and one walks in dreams, music and words spring naturally.
Sounds that can be heard in bucolic landscapes or in empty cities, yet deeply melancholic. To be heard when one is alone looking from a fogged window or with a love that is true. Sounds that are slightly numbing but always hopeful.
Valter Lobo lives in search of warmth. Of new interests and new experiences. Of beautiful places to the eyes and skin. The simple and the wonderful. Winter love and summer breeze. He describes himself as being formed 80% of drunkenness of dionysian spirit and 20% of apollonian one. Sometimes he may feels he can change the world. All the songs have the same delivery: a guitar and a voice to speak what the mind reasons.
With the precious and unwearying collaboration of Jos Duarte Antunes, the songs were produced and recorded. In the winter of 2011, the first release was presented on the official website ( www.valter-lobo.com ): Eu no tenho quem me abrace neste Inverno ("I dont have anyone to hold me this winter")
In April 2012, he presented his first album "Inverno", privately published, that has shot it to the playlists of the main programs of national radio stations and caught the attention of specialized magazines, that have considered him a true promise in Portuguese music scene.
The integration in the collection New Talents Fnac 2012 and the participation in the Festival New Talents Fnac acknowledged this first Winter and recognized Valter Lobo as an artist to not lose sight.
