With the reverb kicked up and the heavy beats switched on high, this hard rock trio shows that they’re not your average new talent. Armed with rock roaring solos and solid beats, Valve Act brings back the gritty grunge with a stylistic kick to boot.

Having such influences as the Pixies, hed PE, to the Beatles and GnR, makes for an engaging and eclectic background to pull from. Their infectious hit “Screwdriver” evokes early to mid 90’s hard grunge with a hint of nu wave rock. Leader singer, Rick channels the likes of Scott Weiland with his edgy and driven lyrics, while bass master Elias channels Flea’s flair for melodic beats. The contagious rhythms on “One Night Stands” is driven by Chris’s ample sampling of cymbalic ruckus and pounding beats. The guys have a knack for channeling some of the nineties greatest rock and turning it into an infectious contemporary masterpiece.

Valve Act continues to hit large and small venues alike. They travel the east coast hitting small clubs but also has the Locobazooka Festival under their belts. With the upcoming recording session, this band is sure to bring out some more hard-hitting rhythms and melodies to satisfy even the hardest rock fan.
