"I LIKE THIS JOINT!"

"Yo, i like this joint! Real De La Soul, Tribe, tainted feel. I like the production..." - DJ Will - Shade 45 (Sirius Satellite Radio)

"DJ SUPPORT"

"You guys are DOPE! I am very impressed... For real, "Think About it" is a single I know my RAP ATTACK DJs will support. Lemme know how I can fit in with Vamoose!" - Nasty Nes - Rap Attack Lives (Sherman Oaks, CA)

"Vamoose Is On the Loose"

"Vamoose's music is made up of back-and-forth verses that flawlessly blend with percussion and synth backbeats... Old Boy and Everiman's voices never fail to take command with their smooth - yet power-packed - qualities. Old Boy's weighty, deep tone contrasts Everiman's lighter, rapid vocalization, and each new verse hits with a punch. The combination of the steady, ready raps with the body-moving background beats is what makes Vamoose's music get stuck in your head...Their catchy lyrics and beats make their live shows just as energetic as their sound." - Emilia Brock - Washington Square News

Bio

VAMOOSE is a new hip-hop group that recently leaped onto the music scene in New York City. Whether backed by their live band (Bass, Saxophone, Drums), deejay Captain Planet (Mixtape Riots), or a combination of the two for a vivacious music experience, this duo is a certified dynamic force. With fierce lyrical deftness, a commanding stage presence and youthful charisma, Old Boy and Everiman flex their artistry by crafting modern day classics that span from party starter tracks to songs that wrap themselves around conscious issues in innovative ways. Their need for live instrumentation and solid beats make it clear that they are more than your "bling, bling, booty call" rehash.

With two separate sold out New York City shows in their first week, "Vamoose" made good their name. They have graced such venues as BlueNote, Fat Baby (Mixtape Riot), Canal Room, Knitting Factory and Tonic (Boston), and have shared stages with such acclaimed acts as Ghostface Killah, Roxy Cottontail, Mudville and Animal Collective. VAMOOSE is currently in the studio recording their highly anticipated debut album SPRING scheduled to release in 2008. In this debut, they have set out to create a lyrical and musical masterpiece that sprouts from the word itself. In the meantime, be on the lookout for their official Mixtape Release on May 10, 2007.

If you happen to catch a Vamoose show well past last call, don’t be surprised when a forest of two fingered V's rise up in unison when the two swaggering MCs call for the crowd to "Put your Vs up cause Vamoose is here," a good sign that Vamoose is not only here, but here to stay.

Archibong "Archie" Ekong (OLD BOY) of Houston, Texas first found his love and calling for hip hop music when middle school teachers tried to silence him and his friends from rapping in the lunchroom. Unable to suppress his need to be creative, he continued to perfect his freestyling ability by drawing inspiration from late night radio shows and mixtapes. After realizing he would need to create a viable arena for himself, he went from organizing cafeteria battles to performing on stages at Houston's top radio station 97.9 (BOXX), sponsored talent shows, and on numerous stages around the city. In 2003, Archie moved to New York City to pursue acting and perfect his craft as an emcee. In 2005, he traveled to West Africa to explore his roots in Nigeria and beyond, his family's homeland. In his time there, he recorded, collaborated and performed with some of the region's top ranking artists, including: I.D. Cabasa, Rugged Man, Freestyle, Ajasa, Faze, Seun Kuti, and Femi Kuti. Having collaborated with Everiman for more than two years at NYU, he was more than glad to combine forces in the name of VAMOOSE.

Wade Allain-Marcus (EVERIMAN) began his music career battling and rhyming at every high school party in his hometown of Los Angeles. After a year of building street cred, he took to the stage at the world famous Whiskey-A-Go-Go with his new hip hop group, where they proceeded to make history and sell out the entire club at their first gig. They continued to tear up the L.A. music scene performing at the Knitting Factory and other notable venues, until Wade decided to pack his bags and leave for New York City in search of more. Shortly thereafter, he cut a Pink Floyd-influenced solo EP and formed his second group, PROFIT$, playing all over downtown NYC and L.A. for his loyal fan base. While attending NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, he harnessed his craft as an actor and landed supporting roles in major motion pictures such as FRIENDS WITH MONEY, WAIST DEEP, MY SASSY GIRL, and the upcoming KIDS IN AMERICA with Topher Grace. In Spring of 2006, he traveled to Ghana to help create the cipher theater company, 5th Project Collective and direct their first original work, Quietus. It was also in Ghana where he and Old Boy began collaboration on their debut album SPRING, thus sparking the embers for VAMOOSE.
