Van Boyd

Entrepreneur, Husband, and Father, Van Boyd is ready to share the gift God has been cultivating in him, since the age of 12, with the world. Van was born in Jamaica Queens, New York to Lee and Brenda Boyd. He moved to Richmond, VA at a very young age where he experienced life both in the streets and the church. The church was the foundation that would lead him to a life for Christ. Although Van grew up in a community where he saw many of his friends perish to the life of the streets, he vowed his life would be different. Van attended church faithfully, joining ministries such as the Praise Team, Choir, and Youth Department.

During his early teen years, Van and a group of friends pursued an R&B group, but God had different plans. The group separated and Van continued to hold on to the hope that one day he would be able to introduce his gift to the world. Little did he know the songs that God would inspire him with would form a compilation that would touch both the secular and gospel world.

Van has had the opportunity to share the stage with gospel recording artists such as Yolanda Adams, J Moss, Alvin Darling, Earnest Pugh, G.I. (Gods Image), James Fortune, and BeBe & CeCe Winans to name a few. Van has a strong passion for today's failing marriages. In a society where vows have "become a script", Van hopes to not just entertain but to inspire all who listen to his music.

Destined to share his music with the world the way God gave it to him, Van and his wife formed a label, JL Records, and he is currently in the studio preparing for his debut album, "It's Official", set for release in 2011-2012. His first single, "Saved Man", is set for release 02/26/2011.
