van cleef continental

Van Cleef Continental formed in 2006. The current line up (consisting of five elements, all of them coming from different musical experiences) is the ultimate one. Their first EP "8 shots 8 failures" flirted with indie and country rock, and was well received by the italian press. The follow-up, "Red Sisters" came out in the US for the very small Steam Machine label, and will be out in the stores in EU in October 2009.
They play rock and roll music, reminiscent of X, Replacements, Thin White Rope (they recorded their own version of "Disney Girl" for the international tribute "Hidden Desert"), Queens of the Stone Age, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. The first single for the european release will be the band dark rendition of "moonlight shadows" the 80's Mike Oldfield hit. The videoclip of the song will soon be ready.
