Bio
Singer/bass player Andrea Van Cleef formed Van Cleef Continental in the summer of 2004, releasing the self-produced "8 shots 8 failures", a debut album influenced by 60's garage sounds and 80's paisley underground.
In 2007 Van Cleef Continental, now a real band, release the "Junior Bonner" EP, soon followed by the recording of "Red Sisters", 11 songs mastered by Ray Staff at his Air Studios in London (where he had previously worked on Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and David Bowie remaster catalogue).
"Red Sisters", a dense, powerful work featuring a newly focused sonic attack and harsh and intense vocals is then published in 2008 by the indie label Steam Machine Records, based in Douglas, Arizona.
In 2009 the record comes out in Italy too (thanks to CASAMOLLOY/AUDIOGLOBE), and it quickly earns the band a following and ecstatic press reviews, drewing favorable comparisons to Thin White Rope, The Doors, Queens of Stone Age, X, Nick Cave and Husker Du.
