The chemistry first and most of all comes from the love and belief in the music we write and want to perform to the world.
Heart, soul and passion in the music, the lyrics and the delivery of each song, we live it and we write it!
Through life and love we find our influence and aspirations to express ourselves the way that we do.
We have worked with BIG names and Little names, played over most of our country and know enough of the music business to know how it works.
Sure we want fame and glory but most importantly we want the world to hear our views through our music.
We have had a wide range of musical influences through our upbringing and hold great respect for all songwriters... recording artists or not.

Samuel Vincent was born in Mildura, Victoria.
From a young age he became a guitar virtuoso winning many awards in all styles of guitar playing.
He has toured with many acclaimed artists both nationally and internationally.
Samuel has also evolved into a talented music producer, producing all of Van Diemens songs in VD's own recording studio in Sydney.

Jamie Lindsay was born in Launceston, Tasmania(Van Diemens Land).
He started playing guitar at age 8 and soon discovered it to be the perfect tool to express him self and more imortantly write songs.
At age 19 he released two independent country E.P's and toured in Australia and Asia.
He made the transition from country to rock after realizing that he could not only write it, but sing it too. His voice had matured and he became more in control of what he wanted to sing.

In 2000 they met on the live circuit while playing in many different rock out fits.
They soon began writing together and shaping the style for the now Van Diemen.
