Bio
I grew up in small town Saskatchewan. I began studying piano at the age of 4, eventually focusing on classical. I remember composing little ditties on the piano as a small child, but I don't remember the first time I set one of my poems/letters to music. It has never been about trying to create something in particular, it has always been an outlet. What comes out is what it is, and portrays whatever I am at that moment. I suppose that may be what sets me apart from many other musicians. I have never set out to write a song, or about a certain subject. Writing and playing is a way of life for me and is something that I will do whether anyone listens or not.
My influences range all over the map. My favorite music is that of Tegan and Sara, Ani Difranco, Feist and Missy Higgins. Although I have had short obsessions with songs from almost every genre.
