At a glance, Vanessa Littrell seems like any other soccer mom, taking her children from one corner of the valley to the other. On closer inspection, one learns that she has been writing and producing songs for nearly 15 years. While her main profession is teaching private music lessons for her business Blue Jade Studios, Littrell is also skilled in graphic design, marketing and producing shows.

Vanessa Littrell has written, produced and executed the graphic design on both her albums. Her debut album "Broken Glass" first released in 1993, harkens back to the days of Joni Mitchell and John Denver. Simple guitar paired with poignant lyrics, Littrell's style is easy and memorable.

"Relinquish" the newest addition to Littrell's discography has a sweetness to it that can only be found in contemporary bands such as Clannad and Sarah McClachlan. Honest and articulate, Littrell adds another hat to her many accomplishments. Copies of this album can be purchased at www.revelrecords.net. - Recorde Couriere

Bio

Vanessa Littrell combines her early folk music roots with a savvy understanding of the modern world. She turns easily from Metallica to Chopin with hardly a breath in between. Writing songs since her college days in northern California, Vanessa calls upon strong imagery that feels celtic in nature. Fluid, dynamic and charismatic her style has been compared to artists such as Sarah McClachlan, Tori Amos, Joni Mitchell and Carol King.
