Emerging from the LA Folk/Chicano scene, Vanessa Mardueño mixes her Latin roots and her faith with effervescent strumming, folk, and a tint of reggae to concoct a record boiling over with unique and inspiring hits. Some say she is a cross between Shakira, Lauryn Hill, and Jewel. With standout tracks like "by His side", Vanessa Mardueño has invaded the LA scene, playing venues such as LA county’s most popular Christian Café “Angel City” as well as leading worship at several churches and ministries, as a guest artist. Recently she’s ventured out into the secular scene, playing venues such as the Airliner in Los Angeles. Her angelic voice soothes your soul and her lyrics are powerful and thought provoking.
