Bio
Formed in mid 2005, by members Mitch Laddie, Rhian Wilkinson, Richard Barnes and Lee Clifford. Vanilla Moon got together a collection of covers, ranging from Stevie Ray Vaughan to Free, as well as a few originals. By September of the same year, they played their first gig at the well known “Thimbleberry” festival. The band proudly shared the same stage as Tony McPhee of “The Groundhogs”. The band was then gigging regularly playing both small intimate venues and larger rallies. As well as gigging, the band began to write more original material, focusing on Blues-Rock and a touch of Jazz! The bands' popularity and local reputation grew throughout 2006.
In October 2006, lead guitarist and singer Mitch Laddie, was given a fantastic opportunity to play on stage alongside his guitar hero – Walter Trout. A dream come true for Mitch at Colne in Lancashire, which has been repeated twice more, in Newcastle and in 2007, at Bolton. Mitch thanks Mr Trout for these opportunities and for his support and encouragement.
The band decided to take a break from gigging and have been writing new material since January 2007. The band has added 7 new songs to their repertoire and now can’t wait to play them "live".
