Bio
Vanity Beach has released several EPs and attained a cult following through a hard DIY work ethic. Their brand new album A Life of Vice will be released on May 26, 2010. It was produced in coalition with The 69 Eyes producer Johnny Lee Michaels.
A Life of Vice proves how danger still can be heard in rock n roll today. The bands sound swifts from an assaulting, brutal post punk racket to hollow new romantic grandeur. The palette is crowned by sinfully shameless visuals and lyrics pertaining to the overall image. The bands influences range all the way from Nine Inch Nails and Guns N Roses to the more obscure art rock sounds crafted by the likes of Bauhaus and Joy Division back in the day.
Vanity Beach didnt pop out of nowhere; the band has worked long and has managed to achieve a cult status in both Finland and abroad. The band has garnered the approval and visibility in many medias abroad, in magazines ranging from mens magazine FHM to the snowboard mag Onboard Magazine with their self-released promos. Shows in Sweden, Russia and the Baltic States have created a steady following for the band. The fall 2009 took the band in front of new audiences as they supported Swedish Sparzanza for 2 gigs in Finland and the love metal ambassadors HIM on one of their traditional New Year shows in Helldone Festival at Tavastia, Helsinki.
