VANITY are Melbourne’s freshest new faces taking over the rock scene. Brought together by a mutual love for big hair and bigger riffs, the sleazy four piece have been polishing off their brand of 80’s influenced rock n’ roll over the last 12 months. With their innovative and hardworking mindset, VANITY have taken to the Melbourne rock scene like a duck to water, leaving fans engaged and promoters smiling since their first show in April of last year.
In addition to having played at some of the city’s finest venues such as The Espy Gershwin Room, Revolver Upstairs, The Middle Hotel, The Arthouse and a memorable headlining set at The Palace Hotel, the goon trooping quartet have also shared the stage with some of Australia’s best known rockers like Rose Tattoo, The Angels and Electric Mary and had their praises sung by members of Guns N’ Roses, Pretty Boy Floyd and White Lion.
2009 was a year of firsts for VANITY and they survived with flying colours, proving themselves to be one of the big bands to watch out for in 2010.
This year is going to be a great one for the guys, with new songs, new members and the desire to take over the world – VANITY will be hard to ignore.
